F/F Femsheps were denied in ME2 - plain & simple

First off, i'd like to say that I'm glad to hear that many Shepards regardless of their sex are happy with their ME2 romances. Unfortunately, for me i missed out on that in ME2, was left dissapointed in this and i suspect there are a lot of others in the same boat for the same reason as me.
F/F was certainly an option that was made available in ME1 and i assumed that tradition would continue, particularly due to its apparent popularity with other players. as romance numbers increased in ME2, i assumed it would correlate with the "type" of romances present in ME1. it did not. I suppose some might consider Kelly a "true romance", i don't, and since you don't get tagged as a "cheater" for pursuing her i would assume Bioware doesn't consider her a "true romance" either.
The romance model for ME1 with regard to Femshep's options weren't followed up in ME2. This dissapointed me and quite honestly took me by suprise and i felt "left out" so to speak. This is my chief argument for the case that "F/F Femsheps were denied in ME2".
There are many "Why no F/F Talimance?", "Femsheps got the Shaft" type Threads out there. The problem with those threads in terms of pro-F/F Unity is that they offend those that prefer Tali to remain heterosexual or Femsheps that were happy with their romances. I'm not presenting any of those requests or desires here at all!
There is no slant beyond my straight-forward claim that "F/F Femsheps were denied in ME2". Thoughts?

He seems to think the asari are asexual now, which is funny.

Casey will retcon that in ME3. Turns out she is actually a rare breed of asexual humans.

Maybe he is just in denial that they created a whole race of lesbians.... Drew and the others got really high one night, and the idea just kept.
ugh...
Anyway what about M/M love hmmm, OP?

1/2 romance at best, which personally i wouldn't even go that far. as i stated above, why would she be considered a "romance" if you don't get tagged "cheater" for goofing around with her?

I dont mean to be insulting or anything im just curious. But am I the only one not playing ME purely for love interests? It seems to be the number one topic on here but is such a small almost insignificant part of the game. Again im not trying to be insulting its just such a huge game and such a small thing to get hung up over.
Just because someone makes a topic about it doesn't mean they're playing the game purely for that feature.

woudln't have a problem with any decision bioware made if it didn't have EA and/or Fox New's handprints all over it.

The first one was enough in the first game. And that at least was explained by lore. Not actual f/f relationship.
This time around you can climb basically anything that has legs. F/F krogan romance is what needed!
Come on, seriously, you mistake the game for something else.
Go get an adult movie or better yet get a vip pass in an adult club.

No you are not. Its just that the people who want sex are more driven than others ;-) To the point they have to post a lot about it.

Hey, i never ever ever said i opposed M/M romance. Since Kelly keeps coming up i'll quote her (as best i can), "just because my sister runs a kennel for cats doesn't mean she doesn't like dogs".

A dev has said that she might count as cheating in ME3, as whether or not we invite her to our cabin will be noted in the save file. She doesn't count towards the achievement because she's not a squadmate.
Other than that, she's just as much of a romance as the other 6, except there is no specific "sex scene" that cuts to black before anything happens (unless you count her dinner date in your room).

I firmly believe romance subplots are one of the top reasons Bioware games are so popular. I'm serious. I think that. Would I keep playing them if they had no LIs? Sure. Would I enjoy them way less? Yep. It's like a major Bioware identifier for me. Along with all the bones they (usually) throw to female players. Great characters are the other thing they do well that I love so much. But romance is just an extension of great character interaction. Character interaction is THE reason I love Bioware games so much. The reason people get so worked up over Bioware characters and relationships in Bioware games is because they are brilliant. That's also why so many want a f/f relationship. They know Bioware can do it epic justice.

Actualy, BioWare posted you get the visit recorded in your savefile. Also, picture of your old LI is back up if you break up new relationship.
So I wouldn't count on you not being tagged at least as suspicious.

I play it for the story and fun gameplay myself, the romances in Bioware games are just a nice side story to get into as far as I'm concerned. I don't know why so many people insist on having same sex romances in games, unless the romance is actually a major part of the game you should just be happy with what you get. You don't like any of your romance choices then don't do them. I know, I know, these days it's just easier to whine and cry hoping to get your way rather than accept the way things are done.

It's become a staple in BW games now. From BG2 and up there has been a romance subplot.
Also, with it being the least talked about by devs and easily the most speculative, it tends to take up a lot of threads on the forums, as well as love cults inevitably being formed. None of this is new, those Tali threads have been around since ME1, and Dragon Age certainly had a lot. Only started going to BW forums since ME1, but have been playing since KotOR, so I'm not sure about the boards in earlier games.
In short, it's the easiest thing to have a topic about and have it continue. Plus, it's a nice touch in a story.
Edit: The love subplot for KotOR really made it a more dramatic story, so I like the romances. I just hope they don't have every character be a romance and just water down the whole thing. Romancing Morrigan made DAO more dramatic, not so much with Lelianna.

I honestly think it's backpeddaling to appease the Moral Guardians. "Oh, see, uh... asari don't count. They aren't REALLY female, and that whole bit where they refer to themselves and each other by feminine pronouns is just a cultural thing. Totally nongendered, asari are."
It's just so disingenuous as to be laughable, and I think Casey knows damned well that it's a load of bull. I also mention again -- would a heterosexual woman or homosexual man find an asari attractive? And if they truly intended the asari to be androgynous, they could have actually made them APPEAR androgynous.

LIs are a small part of the game this is true, but they have been part of Bioware's games since like forever, they are one of the things that make Bioware unique. Almost all games these days have an LI (even some FPS) but the LI is chosen for the player, Bioware lets the player choose the LI and some people find themselves with 0 options. But it becomes a lose/lose situation for Bioware, as they faced heavy criticism in ME1 because there was only 1 straight female LI (Kaidan). Now the pendalum is swinging the other way, it is hard to please everyone, people were complaining about DA:O until Bioware said, fine, hack the game and fulfill your fantasy even if it goes against character.
