I'm having problems unlocking blood mage class, I'm in the fade after performing ritual on the kids mother and the only options I have with the last demon is to talk or fight and whether I talk or fight it still ends up me fighting the demon I have no option to ask for learn blood mage, am I doing something wrong or did I miss something?

Maybe your mage is not Qualified? Happened to my Rogue...I'm not qualified as an Assassin but I am as a Duelist...?

*shrugs* I got the offer. Don't know what went wrong for you....
You should have a series of things the Demon can offer you, power, your comrade's love, and blood magic.

Did you get a list of things she can offer you? You have to ask what she can offer you.

This is in the fade after I do ritual on the boys mother.
I fight the boy who turns into a demon 3 times and then next time the demon is alone in the open and when I near her she auto starts dialogue. (demon name is just 'demon' as opposed to 'desire demon' which ive read about in explanations).
after she auto speaks to me I get two options, to speak or to just fight, if i speak to her she says 3 things then fights me and if i choose to fight she says one thing and then fights me. =(

I've wondered if it depends on who you bring into the fade.
I tried Jowan(the blood mage guy). Nothing
I tried Irving. A slight "Is there NOTHING I can offer you?" but Irving refuses automaticly
I tried Morrigan. Nothing
On both tries my character was not a mage, could that have something to do with it?

Follow up question(s) Once you become a Bloodmage, do you loose anyone in the party? Like the healer or GW

I never got the offer, I also didn't realize I could send anyone in it seems?
The dialogue said only a mage can go, and the only mage I had was Morg who basicly tells the Demon to stuff it...
My guess is your character has to be a mage and you have to go in yourself. Unless there is some sort of "evil" mage you can get to join your party somewhere.

I just think it sucks thats the only way to get the Blood Mage.... now i have to go back 15hrs of gameplay or just play the game as a mage again after this playthrough lol...

you should be able to get a save game just before the choice from memory. An auto-save called 'Fade' or something mine was like 'Fade (3)'. BTW, did you all do the sacrifice? I went the other route and to get Irving which worked fine.
I don't remember doing anything 'special' either.
