I love playing someone in their thirties. He's not the same, lame, "young and brooding" hero. He's actually a professional soldier and old enough to not be a complete retard about everything.
"TEENAGERS SAVE THE GALAXY" is too JRPG for me to tolerate.

Indeed, I'm glad we have an older hero for once.

Personally I ignore the timeline thing and play as my 55 year old, shotgun wielding, vanguard charging, grandpa.
I call him "Peppy"

How tragic is it that 31 is "older" in the gaming world? I mean, I'm no old fogey, FFS, I'm 23, but the point stands. I may have a pretty good bit of accounting knowledge, have some skill with a sidearm (loltexas) and have been in and won a few fights, but I'm not gonna be saving anyone from anything if doing so requires actual experience.Nautica773 wrote...

Experience does usually trump youth, seeing that represented, even a little bit, in a game is a nice bit of realism that makes immersion much easier.

Isn't he still 29 technically since he 'died' at 29...?
Record wise. His body has still lived 31 times as many cycles the Earth revolved around the sun
