What does it do? Does it come with a lot of content like it says?

If you did not preorder, I believe it's about $15 USD.

What....?So I put in a code and still might have to pay? Now I am more confused.

Well if you use the code, you unlock the network but at the beginning of the game where it shows the Cerberus Network stuff, it says that it's unpurchased so don't be an idiot like me and end up buying it again >.>
And what the network actually is: It's DLC that comes out every once in a while and it already has armor, a new squad character, and a couple of missions on it. Soon, it will have other awesome things.

When you get the game, install it like normal. Start the game up, when you start it (as long as you have an internet connection at the time) it will prompt you to tie in the Cerberus Code to the EA account and use that account on your PC. After that it will give you a prompt on the start screen to download the new content when it becomes available. So far we have:
Zaeed (party member) and his loyalty mission
Normandy Crash Site
M22a Eviscerator Shotgun (great weapon)
Cerberus Assault Armor
with the Hammerhead and other missions coming soon.

Ordering RPG ce's late isnt a good thing.
Bioware and Beth Soft CE's tend to sell out totally.

To use the network you have to do 2 things. Buy the game new or buy the $15 code. You also have to have an EA account. The fact you are posting here shows me you have the EA account. <br />

You mean to say that without the Cerberus network I will be unable to play future missions/DLCs?
Or do you mean to say that as long as you have the Cerberus network, whatever missions and stuff that come through it are free? Do you still have to pay for stuff coming through the Cerberus network?
I admit I do not have the Cerberus network and I am contemplating to buy it....but only if it is worth it....i.e. new characters only can be accessed via the network?
This Cerberus network thing is confusing....what is the difference between the Cerberus network and normal DLCs?

No, you do not need the Cerberus Network to play "Premium DLC"Nys299 wrote...

Premium DLC is DLC that you have to pay for.
Cerberus Network DLC (CB DLC) is DLC that comes "free" if you pay for Cerberus Network [1200 points] or if you plug in a code that is inside every new copy of Mass Effect 2
Here's an article that might shed some light:Or do you mean to say that as long as you have the Cerberus network, whatever missions and stuff that come through it are free? Do you still have to pay for stuff coming through the Cerberus network?

"Premium DLC " includes:
ME: Arrival 560pts
Lair of the Shadow Broker 800pts
ME:Overlord 560
Kasumi : New squadmate 560pts
Firepower Weapon Pack 160pts
Aegis Armor Pack 160pts
Equalizer Armor Pack 160pts
Cerberus Network DLC 1200pts includes
Hammerhead; 3 Short Missions with a hover tank
Zaeed New Squadmate
Cerberus Armor and Shotgun
Normandy Crash Site mission
Arc Projector Heavy Weapon

If you ask me, I think it's worth it to have all the DLC for Mass Effect 2. All told, the DLC together means 5gbs, essentially a whole nother game. For 1200 points, it's a bit pricy but it was intended as a punishment to those who did not buy Mass Effect 2 brand new, as every new copy contains a free code for cerberus Network

Not sure what you're asking here. None of those are on the Cerberus Network, you have to pay for all of them. Or are you asking about what's in them? Might be better to start a new topic with your exact question and what platform you're playing on etc.SJSFAN wrote...
