@PoliteAssassin - that hex pattern background texture, is there any chance I could have it please? I need something like that for myself and I'd be very grateful.

Any chance someone with access to a decent editing program could resize this to1600x900 for me? I would appreciate it.

No dude - it would look terrible. I have the same screen though in 1920x1080 I'll include it in my next wallpaper update. You'll need to be patient though, I'm taking a short break.

Thank you.
And I'm sorry for being vague - I meant to say resize it to a size that would fit well on a 1600x200 monitor, not the exact resolution. =p

The problem isn't the ratio, it's the fact that if you enlarge an image you get pixels which are larger. If you shrink an image it looks fine, but you can't make 3 pixels into 5. Making an image that's 800 pixels high into an image 1200 pixels high will result in every 2 pixels representing 3. It just looks terrible mate. But anyway, as I said I have the same image large enough to suit your monitor, so it's not a drama. I'm actually working on a TIM themed wallpaper at the moment, so you'll get to choose which one you prefer. I'd really like to have a pack of, say 10 wallpapers in several popular resolutions available. Maybe I'll make a project page for it. We'll see.

A lot of these are really nice, but too small for wallpapers. Example, I need 1440x900 to prevent from image distortion and oversized pixels.

Hellhawx - I understand that the images in this thread are too small, they are meant as thumbnail previews only. LuPoM kindly provided a download link for the RAR file here for people to grab these from. This isn't my thread, if it were I would edit the OP to include the link. Otherwise people just have to read the posts.

thanks, kaff
i wonder if "less is more" in this case - if i scanned it with a lower dpi, it might have come out better, certainly on 600 the quality was much better than 800 (normally you can simply rescale/size in PS and you end up with a better image if you start with more DPI), with some print and with this i think it's opposite.

@Jebel Krong - you may be right, I tried to get rid of the print-dots, but the overall image is a little fuzzed now.

yeah i tried blurring it slightly, just looked odd. i also tried pretty much every filter in photoshop, different blending, transparency, masking, lighting you name it, and the ones that improved image quality did so at the expense of brightness, so in the end i kept a faded watercolour overlay slightly transparent over the colour-balanced original image as the best result. i may well try scanning the box again at a lower resolution to see if it makes any difference.

Nice job guys. I really like some of these.
Any chance of any screensavers also? I think if someone knew how to make the load screens into one, it'd be very popular.

Hmmm... I seem to recall a program for making screensavers. I wonder if it was Picassa? I'll look into it.

Cool. Much appreciated. I don't have the game on PC or I'd have a stab myself.

Yep. Picasa. I'll have a fiddle with it when I'm not otherwise busy. Should I make a themed screensaver, like 'Characters of ME2' or "Locations of ME2' or what?

As I said, I'd like one similar to the load screens with cutaway views of ME tech like the Normandy etc.
But if you have any ideas of ones you'd rather make by all means knock yourself out. I look forward to seeing what you come up with.

I copied the original from the ME2 wallpapers Bioware made, then i added a larger hex pattern and overlayed it. But if you want, i can still give you the pic. You can just copy it off of the image anyways. Let me know if you still want it and in what format.

Nah it's ok. Thanks anyway. I found a decent hex tileable texture.

@FdL_Ananas - those look awesome by the way. It just goes to show how important colour is to portraying personality. Good work!

Does anyone else think TIM looks a little like Jurgen Prochnow...?
