When playing insanity (ME1 or ME2) is it best to start a new game or continue one(new game+). Is it possible to beat ME1 insanity or hardcore with a new character, or should I complete a new game first and then play a new  game+ on insanity?

What about ME1? i'm planning to beat that on insanity to finish achievemnets and then import to ME2 and play insanity.

Yes, beat ME1 with level 1 character is possible. Many many stuff one shots you though.

The consensus seems to be starting an Insanity play with a NG+ ME2 Shepard causes you to have more difficult battles. The reason, your Shepard is not fully equipped, but the combatants are levels up for your lvl 30 Shepard.



I started my Insanity play with s NG+ Soldier. The battles are just getting manageable and I just barely half way thru.



If I had it to do over, I would start the Insanity play with a new ME1 import.

I would definitely import from ME1. I just finished my insanity playthrough tonight and while it was tough at times, by the end battle it was piece of cake. I couldn't imagine doing the early fights against high leveled enemies with poor equipment.

yeah its best to start with a character you have already play through previously. You'll have better kit that'll hurt them rather than doing no damage at all and being flanked and killed.

Horizion was impossible on my import sentinel. Had to switch from hardcore to veteran. I couldnt beat the scion husk swarms.

maybe it will be easier on a second playthrough import character

yeah i found it quite differcult. ok i lie. it was near impossible but i did it and entertainment my housemates with my screams, shouting and your basic primal acts of hitting stuff (wasn't that bad really!!!). I recommend using the collectors Heavy Weapon to kill the husk fast. start by going left and heading for the other side of the area. then once the husk are delt with the scions are easy but its a long battle. i imagine how mad that sounds at this point but believe me it can be done....... just.
