Curious. Would be interesting if something were to happen to him, but I was too scared to try. Anyone who has?

He doesn't die, although at one point, he coughs and says "What's this? Oh no..."

I doubt it, since the whole point of that mission is to disseminate the cure by putting it in the ventilation systems. Even if he got infected, he'd get the cure 30 minutes later.

Yeah, what I hear is that he begins coming down with it (DANG that's a quick onset) and Mordin fixes him up (he does, after all, have the cure ready to disperse). I'm surprised that Garrus goes into the quarantine zone like that though... Does he at least complain, I hope?

I have. He starts coughing about 1/2 way through the mission then goes "oh... that's not good..." Then, once you get to Mordin for the first time he takes a quick look at Garrus and applies the cure. No one dies, it's all good.

At the start before you go in he says something along the lines of "A Quarantine zone for a plague that kills Turians.... why don't we ever go anywhere nice?" He also brings up that if Shepard needs him, he'll go in regardless.

Yeh, I don't know the exact words, but he acted as if he didn't want to go, then you ask him by saying you realy need him, and he agrees although you get the feeling it was something he wouldn't do if he didn't respect you.

I was naive when I first started and thought the loyalty system was a lot deeper. I reloaded, thinking it would hurt loyalty rating asking him to go face a disease he couldn't fight with his sniper rifle.

Yeh but that missile scarred his armor and his next 3 sons armor forever.

I understand experimentation, but I wouldn't bring Garrus into the quarantine zone.

haven't read the whole thread, but when you first enter, with him in your party to begin with, he'll say something like "a quarintine zone with a plague that kills turians, why can't we ever go someplace nice?"

then you get dialogue option of, paragon, we can bring someone else, i won't risk or your health, and renegade, i need you come with

Grunt will cough a little and get a lil annoyed saying something like I am Krogan i can not get sick! Like he is too tough to admit hes getting sick.

Garrus will go willingly into the quarrantine zone with you saying something like "I'm not going to let a little cough keep me back." He does start coughing but once you get to Mordin he gives him the plague cure.

Im impressed to see Garrus speaking that line, it shows how loyal he is as a companion to follow Sheps lead whatever the case is. Definelly there is no Shep without Garrus... it would be a Cp Kirk without Spock
