Even Jack, who is just as badass, nasty, and self-absorbed still gets her priorities straight.

Non DLC:
-Miranda (wasted potential. story could have revolved FAR more around turning her away from TIM than her whining about having gene treatment - also STOP *PUSHING* ROMANCE ON ME TO EVEN SEE ANYTHING MORE OF A CHARACTER - it's like its 'flirt or begone with you!' now. Horrible to see after learning that same-sex romance dialogue was recorded..and cut from the game..again)
-Jack (same as Miranda sort of. Too much 'high school tude' rather than true emotional trauma. and having her say '**** off!' when I just make it clear I don't want in her pants is despicable. I wanted to help her without pushing myself on her)
-Jacob (non-descript. Far too much 'bro' thing going on, and no...ugh, its only slightly better than the 'Kaiden Effect)
So all humans, who'd a thunk. Mind you, I can tolerate Miranda (just not her lack of emotions other than self-pity, and her high heels into battle...) and Jacob (thank goodness he has a hot body, since he's little good in battle), but Jack was a real failure character-wise.
I guess in terms of non-human squad:
-Grunt (along with Zaeed and Jack for that matter) needed more of a stake in taking down the Collectors AND the Reapers. It's like he's just my pet now, wow.
Samara is surprisingly likeable, Thane is my go-to alien now (sorry Garrus), Garrus is still liked but I wish there was more with him, Tali is awesomesauce, Legion is

This pretty much says exactly how I feel about Jack too.Nod_In_Death wrote...
I can't stand Jack! She's a walking contradiction. Supposedly she's all tough and bad and psycho yet she's the most whiny annoying person on the crew, and there's this line on her loyalty mission where she says something like "I feel like a mean ****, but then I'm a little girl again, ugh it's complicated." Yeah okay avril lavigne I'm going to go vomit now and you're gonna stay here with your bomb.

I just did not feel connected to her or her storyline at all. Seems like she was thrown in 'just to have an asari' in your group. Very flat personality, everything was 'for the code' or 'for the mission'.
All the other characters ranged from interesting enough to awesome (Mordin).

Well, I used Zaeed exactly one time - had no choice when doing his loyalty quest - since he offered no dialogue after that, he's my pick for least favorite. By far.

That's a common problem with "potential romances", as soon as you tell them that you don't intend to get them into your bed, the conversation is over permanently. I wish they changed that in future games.IAmASolo wrote...
Jacob. As FemShep I talked to him a couple times in the beginning of the game, but it always sounded like I was flirting with him. And after I made sure my character stopped flirting with him, it was like he had nothing to say. Boring.
For me, the least favorite is Zaeed. He wasn't very well written, he behaves like a lunatic and he didn't fit in. Honestly, why would anyone want to bring a man like him to a mission that requires trust and team work to even have a chance for survival.

Yeah, I also wish they both would have died on Virmire. Plus Jack's constant use of "f---" got annoying after a while...
Garrus FTW. I always rolled with Garrus in ME1, it's no wonder that I still roll with him in ME2.

I still hate Jacob, and Jack is a whiney little ****. Miranda is interesting though.
But for the most part the characters are interesting.

Samara is cold, boring and distant. Almost no character to speak of. Except that she is very sad with sadness from having to sadly kill her daughter for making her sad.
Emotional-frog-man-assassin is way too predictable. He is sad because he was a sadly bad dad and husband. Then his wife is murdered (in what was no doubt a scene with a lot of crying) and he was sad, so he took his vengeance. Sadly, his vengeance made him sad. Also he is dying, but that doesn't make him sad at all.
Sad heroes with sad back-stories of sadness give me the gas. Garrus loses his whole squad and all he wants to do is ventilate some dudes skull.
Also, I think Bioware could have really explored the angle of Jack being full of it when it comes to her past. She lives off poor me, the mission in the Cerberus facility hints that maybe she was the aggressor when it came to all the people "attacking" her, but Shepard never calls her on it...
It all comes down to the best character in the game. The bartender on Illium.

Next on my list comes Jack, holy crap, too much cussing and too little logic involved with her whining. She's got a cute face and all and the tattoos add a nice bit of lust but really, could her personality be any more dark? She blew her childhood up and is still the most unstable sack of crap on the ship.
Then comes Samara, she's alright but her voice pisses me off, 'nuff said. (and she's old...reeeeal old)
Finally, being my favorite, is Tali. No I am not a fanboy, yes I support her recruitment for ME3 (and Garrus), yes I romanced her, but I am not obsessed. I like her personality, not because she wears a suit and thats the only thing to like. There are three types of relationships in the game, badass, sexual, and deep. Jack = badass, Miranda (swamp monster) = sexual, Tali = deep. I myself prefer a deeply intimate relationship, especially with Tali because Tali reminds me of my current girlfriend. Shy, not in your face, cute in unexplained ways, and is secretly thinking about you all the time. If you don't as much as appreciate that, you can just kiss your future relationships goodbye, because Tali was meant to be the perfect example of what a relationship is.
In conclusion, Miranda sucks the most out of all the characters and deserves to thrown into the trash compactor and blown off into the deepest darkest corner of the Milky Way.
