Zaeed and Grunt are not bad, but both seem to be made to replace Wrex
I know they did Grunt as different as a krogan could be, but Zaeed was totally unnecessary
he's not bad, he's just a big cliché, a mediocre human version of Wrex
hell, the guy doesnt even have a conversation option

Indeed. There was nothing to her character beyond plucky engineer girl and walking codex entry. Her unthinking hatred of the geth was a problem for me too. Ash gets branded a racist while Tali is planning genocide? Yah, sure.Platemaster347 wrote...
I can't believe no one talked about Tali, she is the most boring character ever.

Ashley and Kaidan. I hated our reunions.
"You're working for Cerebrus? I know you saved my life 300 times, I know we were best friends and/or lovers, and I know you saved the entire Galaxy with me at your side and chose to save me instead of another squad mate on Virmire, but I CAN'T TRUST YOU YOU CEREBRUS PIG."
Who in God's name would stay loyal to either of them after that reunion. I mean, Liara becomes a total bad ass. "Sorry, Shepard, I can't help you save the Galaxy, I'm too busy replacing the Shadow Broker and making oodles of money." Meanwhile, Ashley and Kaidan: "Sorry, Shepard, I'd love to go save the Galaxy with you but I'd rather the Reapers won than have to work with Cerebrus. I know I spent 90% of my time with you complaining how humans are the best and aliens can bite my white armored rear, but really any organization that actually lives by my own values is so evil that I'd rather millions of humans die and the galaxy be taken over by machines than have to associate myself with said corporation."
Thanks, guys. I should have left both of you on Virmire. At least Wrex and Liara are doing something productive.
This! I was going to stay loyal to Ash but after the way she treated me on horizion I was like Hey Miranda how goes it? hehehe.

Liara trying to be a bad ass like her mom on the phone made me hate her instantly.
TiM. I couldn't stand him and the fact that you get NO information about who he is or why he does what he does ruined him for me. I understand keeping it for the third game, but throw us some info to keep us interested.
Grunt was by far my least favorite character. Considering Wrex was my favorite in the first I assumed the Krogan would continue in the second game. He has NO personality, no funny lines, nothing. He doesn't even really have that Krogan bravado, it was really disappointing.

I don't get why Liara in ME2 happens to be quoting her mother's lines - doesn't match her personality or speech habits from ME1.
On the other hand, I did like Grunt for his enthusiasm for causing injury.

Jack. Too aggressive, and wants to believe she is the toughest person in the world.
You haven't gotten to know her. If you romance her the right way (not sleeping with her when she first asks for it), you'll learn there is more to her than meets the eye. You'll learn she has feelings. You'll learn she is normal and the only one Shepard can actually talk to. Well, that's how I got it.

I like Jacob a bit. I'm glad Bioware realized that not everybody had tons of underlying emotional problems, and chose to put in a character that is more of an average joe type. Jacob does a good job of filling that role.
Miranda is whiny and seems quite immature when things don't go her way - but I had to respect her during the loyalty mission and at the suicide mission. She showed a lot of emotional strength in those moments.
Jack is okay - she has a bit of a 'troubled tough-guy' cliche going though.
Grunt is hilarious in how childlike he seems in some cases - it was funny how when he was accepted into clan Urdnot, he was almost jumping up and down and cheering.
I thought Tali was very well done in ME2 - she had a lot of realistic character flaws, and she was able to have some deep-seated emotional problems without being a conflicted, teary mess like Jack could be.
I kinda get the feeling that Legion has real emotions - like when you ask him why he specifically chose Shepard's armor, he seems kinda evasive and embarrassed. I think he has a sort of childlike awe for Shepard, like Carl has for Charles Munce in the beginning of Up.
Garrus was my favorite, with Tali, Legion, and Wrex tied for a close second. He had a lot of depth to him, and the writing and voice acting for him were incredible. He was deep, he was funny, he was kind, and above all, he was believable as a character and a person.
