I started a new character a few days ago and imported my old ME1 character

Today my girlfriend beat ME1 and decided to import her character to ME2 and start a new game, but now she can't save her game.

She has already been through the prologue and got the Normandy, and she went all up and down thinking that she had to talk to everyone first but even after flying to the Citadel she's unable to save her game

If I go to load both of our careers show up but its not letting her create a new save file

help?
