I took 36-40 hours (if you include doing the side quests after the suicide mission).

Yeah. I'm using that too. Didn't realize it was there until I looked for it to make that post. Almost 56 hours.

I completed the game at 47 hours with not even all upgrades, planets discovered or **** load of recourses left over. And I didnt waste any time, just played the game normally, only died like once or twice. Also played on normal first run.
