What characters would you most like to see in ME3?

I came up with a character:wizard:.
Pretty OP if it would be on the battlefield, so I thought it could be some kind of passive-Char, that boosts your powers/protections/weapons from the Normandy.
Don't laugh, I wrote a little story sometimes ago, taking place on a random ship in the ME-Universe.
I haven't read the novels, so it surely has errors, but hey...first english story I wrote.
Not much depth, it was merely intended to sharpen my skills in writing an english text(should my later job force me to do so).
However: Enjoy, scraps it...whatever you want:
The Savant
As he slowly walked down the tight corridor to his cabin, Paat'Zahan Vas Quicha felt as secure as he could on his pilgrimage.
Of course, serving as a technician on the freighter of a turian company didn't bring that much wealth, but he wasn't forcing anything to happen.
He felt good right now and he wouldn't rush into something that wouldn't help the fleet, instead of taking his time and finding something that would really be worth it.
It was all going well, he wasn't treated as open as on most ships, but he was given respect for his work and fullfilling his duty here.
Most quarians didn't like turian ships to serve on, but he was always one of the most stubborn quarians on the Quicha.
Once his grandfather told him, he had a strong mind.
He allways knew when he was right and when not...or he was just stubborn, he didn't care about that so much.
The only thing he didn't like here was that crazy human living down in the machineroom.
He wasn't arround much humans, but knew enough that this one was clearly out of the norm.
Studdering, barely talking and somewhat away from reality.
If it wasn't for the constant maintenance this human was doing for nothing but food and some sparse things he stole from the crew, Paat was sure they would have tossed him into the next station.
It was strange...the human stole things but handed them over with little to no reaction if he was asked to.
Sometimes the crazy monkey also stole broken things and brought them back repaired or improved.
Not even to mention all these scars, running along the skin of the human.
He once entered the machine-room when he saw the crazy creature cut itself with a knife to make those scars...they reminded him of some crazy tattoos sometimes.
Paat didn't like this human, but somehow he felt sorry for him.
It was terrible, when the three harshest turians on the ship decided to beat the human down for little to no reason.
Sometimes he stopped them, said he couldn't fix the machines alone and they mostly got off the human.
Although he felt sorry for the somewhat childish creature, he wasn't pleased to find the studdering figure in front of his cabin-door.
"Grey! I told you not to linger arround my place!"
"Quarian...Paat...had to. Present...You fair..."
"What are you talking about?"
The human grabbed his arm and started to demount his omnitool in seconds and putting it back together with this black and white glowing omnitool he owned.
Paat was surprised, but pissed how the human could play arround with the omni-tool of a quarian.
With a little bit of effort Paat threw the human against the next wall and yelled, nearly spitting at the visor of his suit:"GET THE HELL OFF ME YOU FREAK!!!"
Grey rubbed the back of his head, stumbling backwards into the dark of one of the many ventilation-shafts:"Sorry, had to...present. You always fair...didn't want to...FREAK!"
Paat snorted, opening his door and shutting it behind him, sealing it with a code.
He had to check his suit.
Luckily, there was no damage. He couldn't afford to be ill while working here.
Next was his omni-tool.
There where some more bits and pieces now, spread throughout the mechanisms.
He couldn't find out what the parts did, but it was clear he couldn't remove them without destroying the tool beyond repair.
Snorting again, he ran some tests with another omni-tool he owned that wasn't as reliable as this one had been.
By all means...the tool ran as it did before.
"Keela...how did this freak put all this stuff inside there within some bare seconds?"
Paat stretched, laid onto his bed and fell asleep...the day had been to hard to worry any longer.
It seemed to him like only some minutes had passed as his suit woke him.
It didn't feel like his off-time had been over by now.
But...back to duty.
With some nutrient-paste filtered through the systems of is suit, he was sated and walked on to the corridor.
A turian ran into him, nearly throwing him against the next wall.
It was the captain:"Oh...sorry Paar'Zahan. I'm in a hurry."
Paat checked his suit:"No problem, Captain. Can I ask, what's the matter?"
A slight shrug and a little flap of the mouth was all the captain did, answering in short, as the turian always did when speaking to him:"There have been reports of blood-pack-pirates in this sector. You should know how important it is to be on the bridge, just to be sure."
"Of course captain. I'll better go to my post then, too."
A faint smile of trust hushed the captains face:"It's good to know the engines are in good hands."
Paat knew the fastest way to the machine-room and didn't like the idea of Grey being responsible for the engines if pirates would attack.
It was somehow a freaky view to see Grey standing there, an Omnitool in black and white at each hand and working with twice the speed he worked with.
Paat got to the broken heat-sink the engines where using when the other sink had to cool down, opening it to see what's inside.
Once again: The same relais, molten again.
A hard and monotone work to do.
Paat paced through the engine, fixing what he could of the toasted relais.
But however, when he tried to take out the last parts of it, he heard a well know hissing sound he never liked to hear and feeling a pain.
"DAMN!!!"
He pulled out his hand, seeing his suit slized and his finger cut open.
The seals shut his finger off, but there was nothing to stop the infection from...what was that?
Paat checked if he was right...the wound was containing something...not really containing, it was covered in...a shield?
He just registered by now, that his suit was damaged, but the contamination-alert hadn't been triggered.
Only reason for that was: The atmosphere in his suit wasn't filled with foreign matter that would have triggered the alarm.
Suddenly he saw Grey, looking over his shoulder and grinning:"Present...good?"
Paat took some steps away from the human:"What...what the hell did you do, Grey?"
"Containment-Shield...essential...medical...circuit H-27 connected to costum build A-25..."
"Containment-Shield? The generators for these are huge! To keep out bacterias and such there's a lot of computing required. Don't even mention the high oszillation to cover a body in that detail! An Omnitool just can't do that!"
"Your's can...present."
Paat couldn't take his eyes away from the high-definition-shield covering his small wound.
Grey came close, grabbed his hand and blew...
He didn't know how to describe it, but he felt the air breezing over his wound...the coolness of the blow...it was frightening and somehow...wonderfull.
Grey let the hand go and took a step back:"Can cover full body...perfect...proud of...not captured in suit."
"You mean...my omnitool is now a full-body-containment-shield?"
"Yeah...just said. Don't want...buy friendship. You fair. Like you...wanna give."
Paat looked down at the shield, then tried to stare into the rapidly moving eyes of the human:"Grey...how are you doing that? I mean...I don't want to hurt you, but you're a..."
Paat nearly stumbled into a pile of parts, as Grey yelled:"FREAK?! Orphanage...they said savant...mutant...don't know what means right now...think FREAK is...right."
Paat sat onto a crate, looking at the shield that contained his wound and then at the human, that began to work again.
He felt dirty.
He knew of savants.
There was a superb omnitool named like that some years ago.
People who where called like that often where somewhat abnormal in their mental state.
Paat took together all his courage and walked over to the savant:"Grey, I'm gonna fix my suit. Can you grab a clear thought and work on your own?"
"No...I mean...clear thought...no focus...like you...can work alone...no clear thought."
Paat nodded:"OK...if you're unable to focus...as long as you do good work."
Grey showed no further reactions.
Paat went into his clean room.
As a quarian on pilgrimage he was one of the happy ones who had some gloves in stock, if one should be broken.
As he took off his cut-open glove, he was excited as the shield covered his whole hand...however, it was suspicious if a quarian ran arround without a suit on, covered in a shield that was far beyond possible technology.
The shield let medi-gel through without mocking.
With the glove back on he was going back to work.
He saw the three officers again, probably on the way to beat up Grey again...he wouldn't let them do it again.
As he was at the entrance to the engine-room, noise tortured his senses and all went black.
It was a sharp, but somehow dull pain that hit him when he regained conciousness.
His suit was ripped to shreds along the right side of his chest...a large wound constantly bleeding.
He knew he would die of the infection, until he remembered the present Grey gave him.
Paat grabbed his aching head and discovered his mask was half broken.
As he tried to stand up, he faced the ripped head of one of the officers.
He gasped, unable to scream in shock...it was a terrible sight.
It was until now, that he discovered the large hull-breach the corridor had become.
He didn't know how he survived such a blast...could it have been the new shield his omnitool projected? He didn't know.
But he had other problems right now: Behind the shield covering the machine-rooms atmosphere, he saw a mountain of a Krogan holding Grey at his throat:"Hah...you sound like an idiot, human. I don't know...will I give you as food to my men or just crush you right now? Maybe both. But then I wouldn't have the fun to hear you whince when vorcha-teeth rip you apart."
Grey studdered as ever:"Please...just go...just go..."
Paat grabbed one of the scrapmetal-parts next to him and threw them againt the krogan:"Let him go! YOU BASH-TORD!!!"
The krogan threw Grey against one of the machines:"Now I know it...I'll crush the quarians thin arms and legs, then beat you to death with his body. Probably better...this quarian won't live long enough to be a good slave."
Grey stood up:"No...you...I...I...I won't let you hurt him or anyone else on this ship."
The krogan grinned, as Paat began to tremble in fear...not knowing, that Grey was the source of his fear.
The humans scars started to glow in black and white, emanating fields that resembled even more detailed patterns, now somehow resembling a mixture of tribal tattoos and the picture of flashing neuronal cells he saw when he was in the med-bay once.
The krogan groaned in pain has his hand was crushed into a bloody mess by some kind of black and white colored biotic warp.
Paat fell to the ground and crawled against the next wall.
The Krogan looked in terror at the human, now covered in energetic fields he never encountered before.
Grey took some steps forward:"I never focus! My thoughts tend to hurt people! Weak minded often are left destroyed, when I speak to them...but you! I WON'T LET YOU HURT SOMEONE WHO IS DEFINITELY NOT DESERVING IT!!!"
The Krogan lifted his intact arm, hitting Grey with all his strength.
The shattering of bones could be heard...the Krogan held his broken arm.
Grey looked into the eyes of the Krogan:"NOW...it's my turn."
The Krogan was lifted up by Grey's energetic fields...then he was crushed against the wall...it wasn't much left, that could be called a lifeform.
Grey stepped towards him and Paat began to shake:"Don't...don't hurt me...please..."
The human smiled, a white pulse running along the scars:"I won't. Now hold still, before you bleed out."
A field held him in position like a biotic stasis-field...certainly it was one.
He cried...not wanting to die like this:"Grey...I know I wasn't allways...oh Keela"
Grey smiled:"Don't worry. I'm just going to fix that wound. I'm good in such things. See?"
Without a possibility to do something against it, the field turned his head arround and let him see the terrible wound.
Grey used his omnitool...but now that he thought about it...it probably wasn't even an omnitool.
Mostly white fields covered his wound...a small cloud of plasma formed in the air.
The plasma touched his flesh, not burning it at all.
It was like Grey rebuilt his flesh on the atomic level...certainly it had to be so.
Even his suit was repaired.
The stasis-field was gone and Grey offered him a hand:"As far as I can tell, I...crushed any pirate on this ship. However, the remaining crew has left in the escape-pods. The shuttle in the cargo-bay should be intact.
Do you agree, that we should leave now? As long as you don't mind sitting in a shuttle with a freak."
Paat didn't know what to do right now...staying was no option.
But sitting in a shuttle with...this?
He hadn't much choice, so he grabbed the human hand:"OK...let's get out of here."
As soon, as the shuttle had left the scene and the autopilot was programmed, he turned over to Grey, who sat there, a tear running down his cheek:"Grey...what are you?"
Grey smiled...sadly:"A mutant...as I told you. Almost ten percent of my brain is eezo. It covers each cell, is in each liquid of my body. Most humans just use a minimal percentage of their brain, mine is at ninety percent most times, minimum. If something is damaged...you've seen, how I repaired your wound."
"So you played a role to be not as suspect as a lightning? And cut yourself to be less suspicious?"
Grey looked down:"No...you see this fields arround me? That is, what you're talking with right now. My brain is an abnormality...it saves information like no other human brain can, works more like a quantum-computer, than like a normal brain. There's not much left to form a normal conciousness with.
If I want to act almost normal, I project these biotic, neuronal fields. They are better than any computer you will encounter, but you can't hide them."
Paat sat next to Grey:"So...your biological brain is mostly a database?"
"No. There is too much going on in my brain to be normal. I don't want to hurt you, but I can hardly think of a way to give you a clue, without shattering your mind.
If I bring order in the chaos, my biotics get so strong I form this fields.
It's a lot of concentration neccessary to just project this fake omnitool.
My brain itself is a bit out of control.
I can't even chose what I learn an what not. I soak everything up. Took me about two days to learn your language by what you said in the machine-room."
"You don't even have a translation-implant?"
"No."
"But you learned my language in two days?"
"Forming a normal word is for me like screaming through a storm of noise. No matter what language I talk in.
That's the reason why I'm studdering that much when I don't have my fields to be...well...me."
Paat gulped:"How did that happen to you? By nature? And you haven't answered my question about the scars you're giving yourself."
The fields of Grey pulsed fast:"The scars are filled with traits of eezo. I cover the blade in it. It helps me channeling my biotics to just my body.
And about how I became that way...I could gather some information by hacking databases.
The orphanage where I spent my childhood had listed a quarian as the one who gave me to them.
After hacking some databases of your fleet, it turned out he could escape from an illegal eezo-mine where he was kept as a slave from batarian slavers. Fact is: You become a biotic if you're exposed to element zero while you're developing in your mother.
There's no real data to find about that, but I think my mother was a slave, exposed to high concentrations of eezo while she was carrying me.
She probably died because of it...I think on the ship they fled with."
Paat didn't know what to do...the story of Grey touched him:"Can I do something for you?"
"It would be nice, if you could bring me into a sanatorium on a small colony...somewhere, where I can hide. There are a lot of people who are trying to get me into a lab and...cut me open. They never get me, but I'm sick of weak minds that break when my thoughts overwhelm them...or the dead bodies I leave when I try to protect myself."
Paat gulped at the last sentence:"OK. We'll find an isolated colony for you."
"Thank you...I never had a friend. I don't know if you help me because of fear, but I don't want to dig into your mind to find out. Your spirit is strong, otherwise you would have been broken by now, but I think even you wouldn't stay sane if I read your thoughts."
Paat smiled, reaching out a hand:"Well...I won't lie to you and say that I'm not frightened of you, but trust me when I say: That's not the reason I'm helping you."
Grey smiled, a bit of his sadness gone:"Thank you...I'd like to give you a present, you actually can rebuild on your fleet...other than the omnitool-modifications I gave you. If you have a datapad, I'll give you the schematics I came up with. It's a low-power air-filtering shield you should be able to build into your ships."
Paat nodded:"I'd be honored."
Ingame:
Grey Shade(he chose his name by himself in the story) is a biotic being unknown to the galaxy before.
Most of his neural cortex has to be projected as a biotic field by his biological brain.
At first the equipment of Shepard lacks in efficency since Grey scratches engravings inside it.
If he uncovers his secret to Shepard, Shepard can have a conversation with him right before each mission to concentrate a percentage-buff on weapons, powers and protections.
For example: 50% protection, 25% weapons, 25% powers.

Samara - Logically I think she would leave to continue her duties
Grunt - Could go either way (although I could see him going to remain on Tuchanka)
Mordin - Could see him going either way as well(omega instead of Tuchanka)
Morinth - I feel like she would grow tired of Shepard eventually if he/she didn't want to be with her then leave
Legion - I think he would return to the rest of the Geth
Garrus - I think he would stay with Shepard since idk where else he would go
Tali - I think she would stay with Shepard for the same reason as Garrus especially if she's exiled
Jacob - I see little reason for him not to stay with Shepard
Miranda - Again I see little reason for her to leave as well
Thane - Depending on how you play i see him either staying or going somewhere to live out the rest of his days or staying with his son
Jack - Might leave depending on how much she likes Shepard
As for who I would actually want:
All ME 1 squadmates except for Wrex (who actually has a legitimate reason not to join)
Miranda (how she and Ashley get along hmmm)
Thane just because I like him
Mordin just because i like him too
The rest I'm a little indifferent toward/see why they would leave

First of all, I'd like to see all of my squaddies come back. I ended up being fond of all of them in ways I didn't expect. If I have to choose, though, Garrus, Tali, Mordin, and Legion are definite shoe-ins. I'd miss Samara, too... and Grunt. And Jack, and Jacob and Miranda and Thane. Um. So yeah, want 'em all back, if possible. Zaeed, too.
As far as NPCs, I'd love to see Kal'Reegar again (maybe he'll even have a bigger role!) and check in again on poor Veetor. Hmm. The first two that come to mind appear to be... male quarians. Uh, anywho.
I would like to run into that potential couple I met on Illium--the asari and krogan. See how my influence shaped their relationship. And I wonder if that random turian and quarian ever hooked up? Oh! Shiala, too. She was coming on pretty strong there at the end. That should be interesting to watch develop. I'd also like to see how Kolyat has come along, either as an assassin or not. And I would like to see if that racit turian politician changed his tune if you saved him.
...man, I wanna see a LOT of things in ME3. Heh,
Me too. I agree with all of your pickes. Have to have Ash or Kaidan and ok Liara, I wouldn't miss her but I"m sure someone still cares.
I'd love to have Kal"Reegar back. It's probably just me, but I think Tali has a thing for him. And I loved his voice and delivery.
I could survive without Zaeed and Samara, though I'd miss her. I'd be happy to see Gianna Parasini again and I'd like to see Emily Wong again. I hoped to see her this time but either I missed her or she's off reporting somewhere.

choose the active player in ME3 - not always Shepard.
Various missions and then the possibility to play with several
characters from ME1 and ME2.
Ah, and a pink Shepard, finally, please!

Here are a couple of ideas.
A Batarian, just for the interaction with the Humans and the other squad member who are council races (who they also hate). Also able to learn more about Batarians.
Possibly a female Turian.
A Volus, Elcor, or Hanar, though i'm convinced that they may be better used as crew members.

I truly enjoyed all of the new characters other than Jacob, hopefully i never have to be forced to flirt with him again... ugh.
Grunt was so childish that it was cute/funny.
Thane i LOVED, he hasn't surpassed Garrus but i really liked this guy!
Samara was so serious and focused that i didn't like her at first, but she grew on me (even though i almost never used her in my actual squad)
Jack i thouroughly enjoyed, it's interesting to see so many people that hate her. I actually thought of her as an interesting change. She was far from my favorite character but bioware did well with her i thought.
Tali. Who doesn't love her? I mean her accent combined with her apparent sweetness is just so.... loveable! playing my maleshep she was my #1
Garrus i wanted as a LI in the first one haha. He's such a bad ass but at the same time he seems in need of guidance (enter shep). Not to mention i found his romance to be the most compelling/entertaining, his awkwardness made me giggle more than once! BRING GARRUS BACK! -recruitable PLEASE!
Joker and EDI is an obvious must.
Legion i really really really liked! His character was so dynamic, and his expressions made me laugh. I also thought it was cute how he called you "shepard commander". Definitely want this guy back!
Miranda wasn't my favorite character but i still really liked her and i found her loyalty mission to be so touching...
and Mordin hahahahahahaha who would i go to for laughs if he wasn't on my ship?
While playing ME i liked Ashley/Kaiden but after the characters from ME2 they seem so.... boring? I of course want to see them back if only for a little LI drama but i don't NEED them in my squad.
Wrex i want to return, but if it's just for a cameo that's fine. He's great but I'm happy with my battleapprentice Grunt.

I agree for the most part on the ME2 squadies. Though I think Grunt and Legion would be more likely to stay. Legion will be crucial for peace between the quarians and the geth in ME3 I think and Grunt's path can go in many directions in ME3 but he has no responsibilities like Wrex at the moment.Serevir wrote...

Miranda
Legion
Mordin
Thane - (if he hasn't died from his disease)
Grunt
On the Normandy:
Joker still at the helm
Kelly (someone has to feed my fish)
Dr. Chakwas
The engineers Donnelly and Daniels
I want to find out how Wrex's plan to unite the Krogans is going and how Liara's hunt for the Shadowbroker is going

Of course it's obvious that at least one or two of the original squad members will be back in ME3 simply due to the LI options etc. At least it would make sense to do so for closure by the end of the game. Whether or not they will be active squad members is the big question.
