A number of people, myself included, have has issues where their game crashed and when they restarted it they had lost all their personal settings and achievements. All I was able to do was download someone else's mostly complete profile and regain the rest of my achievements.

In order to spare anyone else this inconvenience, I've uploaded my profile with every achievement unlocked. You might have to tweak some of the settings in the options menu to fit you, but other than that I hope it helps.

Place this in the documents/bioware/mass effect 2/biogame/profile folder.

Thanks man, i really appreciate it, this just happened to me a couple of minutes ago, and for some reason Windows didn't backed up my player1.prf so no restore points were available (yes system restore/protection is activated and i have no idea why it didn't do it).

So thank you again.

Cheers!

No ****, thanks a ton... not pleased to have lost all the achievements while being on the 3rd play through. Just happened about 10 minutes ago during an odd crash while playing. Like, wha wha what.
I don't know. Great game, but there are severe weaknesses to all these pc games that have been cooked/fried from the console side. If you replace most of the .bik movies with renamed blank .biks (found as a nointro from the usual sources) even the largest levels only take about 3 seconds to load. You know, that can't be taxing any modern gaming machine and mass effect 2 would've been so much sweeter if started on the pc side, THEN cooked for the inferior consoles.
In any case, thanks much... was about to pull out my hair... a lot of those achievements transfer through to your next after-winning play through.
