Mine would have to be the Final Fantasy games, i was still pretty young though. Eventually as i got older and played other games, i stumbled upon KOTOR then other games like Mass Effect and Fallout 3 and Oblivion. Does Pokemon count?

The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. I loved that game. The only thing that annoyed me was that it always crashed.

Eye of the Beholder. :) I feel old compared to you two. >.> (even though I know I'm not)

Ironically, I didn't play the Ultima series until after the two Eye of the Beholder games. I didn't really decide that RPG's were my favorite genre until Bard's Tale, which I didn't play until about 1994 (my older brother introduced me to it, which is why I played it nearly 10 years late. Plus the fact that I wasn't born until 1985 probably had a lot to do with that.) Then, of course, Fallout and Fallout 2 and Baldur's Gate came out, and my brain exploded. xD

While I cannot remember what the first game was, I think the first RPG's that made a real impression on me and I think ultimately led me to be a big PRG gamer was playing Wasteland on my dad's Apple II when I was 11 years old.

I loved that game.

Not sure. The first ones I consciously finished were Diablo II or Neverwinter Nights, though I may have played Baldur's Gate II before that. Or something I can't exactly remember right now.

My first game with RPG elements was X-Com: Enemy Unknown/UFO Defense, though. I'm rather sure of that.

Betrayal in Antara. The follow-up to Betrayal in Krondor. I was maybe 13 at the time. I had a lot of fun.

Loved that game. Just replayed it 2 month ago. Still one of the best games ever made.

My first real rpg was either Zelda on the Nes or Mystic Quest on the Game Boy, I think that was just a renamed Final Fantasy game wasn´t it? Oh boy that was somewhere near 20 years ago.... I feel so old :crying:

I guess mine would be Zelda on the NES. My first PC rpg would be the Ultima series.

It was some weird jrpg on NES, all japanese so I never knew it's name - also to save/load the game I had to write down and retype ~30-something hieroglyphs, which I was never able to do without some error. Probably that's why I hate console rpgs now... Image IPB
