Hi, I have this strange problem with ME2, I searched forums but haven't find any solution yet.
Default movement keys bindings are of course WSAD (W for forward, S for backward, etc). While in play, they are not responsive on my computer, so I can't move Shepard character. All other keys and mouse seem to work fine (I can look around, fire a weapon, reload, jump, etc). I tried to remap WSAD commands to other keys, tried to remap WSAD as secondary keys, with partial success, for example when mapped to cursor keys, I can move Shepard character just fine. I tried this with every key available (function keys and so) and it seems that movement keys do not work only when mapped to any alphanumeric such as 1-9 and A-Z. That is a bit of problem for me, because being right-handend and accustomed to WSAD combination in any other shooter, I am unable to play properly within Mass Effect 2. Does anyone had similar problem? What may be the solution.
My config is this: i7-860, 4 GB RAM, mobo Intel DP55WG, ATI Radeon 5770 (Asus), Windows 7 64 bit HE , the newest drivers and I have boxed non-collector's edition ME2.

I have the same exact problem in Mass Effect 2, my movement keys via WSAD arn't working. Only when I bind them to the arrow movement keys then does my character finally move.
The even stranger thing for me is that this problem applies to my other games that use the same control scheme such as Borderlands.
Desperately need help with this problem, I can't exactly enjoy playing with the arrow keys ><

Just had the same problem was an annoying 10 mins<_<
In my case it was my COMODO firewall blocking the game from accessing keys.

I had this same problem with Mass Effect 2 while playing the Overlord DLC, after I saved the game and exited, when I came back the next day the WSAD keys malfuctioned and couldn't move, but all the other keys worked fine..subsequently I wasn't able to find anything to help, until I decided to restart the mission and once I did everything worked perfectly fine...just thought I'd throw out that suggestion
