what extra weapon should a sentinel pick?

I want to pick shotty, but it seems the assault is way better, or even the sniper.

Advice?

Go Assault Rifle. It is flexible and reliable.

I chose shotty for my sentinel to help with swarms of husks and anything else but also cause it looks weird having two big guns on your back

i use Assault Rifle mostly but for a long rang target i use sniper and for husk i use shot gun

how'd you get weapons? I have things like geth armor, fortification, warp ammo...

They are talking about on the Collector ship, you get to pick a new weapon skill if you can't use shotguns, AR, or sniper rifles. This would be fore Adepts, Engineers, and Sentinels. You are refering to Advanced Training skill.

I would go with the sniper rifle training, unless you picked up the geth pulse rifle, I would then go with the AR training.

I picked up Sniper Rifle training on my Adept. I didn't find it as useful as I thought. At long range my Adept is usually pulling folks from cover or throwing Singularities into doorways. Probably would go with Shotguns for those oh **** moments, or AR for all around reliable shots.

wait a second. Teh geth pulse rifle? I thought that was garbage? I have all the extra download stuff, so i have that collector assault rifle. I just love shotty's. However - I do seem to very much be lacking any sort of long range control. I haven't had a chance to play with that new long range shotty though, so i was hoping that would sort of be a nice middleground to close range weapon.



I really really really freak'n wish Bioware would allow you to go through the game multiple times and pick up multiple weapons at the collector ship. I would then play newgame+ until i had every single weapon :)

the geth pulse rifle is great on mid range, and is not bad for long range with the accuracy upgrade.  I still prefer the tempest on short range.

Plus in the cut-scenes you more or less always run around with an Assault Rifle even if you aint got that talent. =P

depending on your class you can pick up a weapons training or an upgrade to a current weapon.

Assault Rifle seems the way to go, as it's good at both close and medium range (which means you can reliably kill someone nearby whom you froze with Cryo Blast, and also keep shooting reliably at someone you just Threw across the room).

Assault Rifle. The sniper rifle can be a little funky to use w/powers. And I'm not sure you really need it as a sentinel

I picked it, it was only useful  for scoping warp at long range lol.
