No hope for this im afraid. in fact i wouldnt be surprised if someone from Bioware has looked at this and laughed. my whole thing is, you **** that you have to get it on PC....but if you paid enough money to get a PC that can play this you could have just got a 360....

Function is value.  Value is not function.  Your logic is flawed.  Also a PC designed to simply outperform the 360 doesn't cost any more than the 360 however a full gaming rig offers 10 times the function as well and maybe costs twice as much as a 360 if that.  You don't have to spend 4k on an Alienware that isn't even worth 500.  You can just put yer own together for about 500.  Image IPB

Yep, only problem is getting blasted old games working on a PC, or any system for that matter. PC really isn't that much of a cost problem if you know what you are doing, but I digress.

SOMEONE TELL ME HOW TO BUILD A PC THAT WILL RUN SYSTEM SHOCK 2!!!!!!!

New hardware + old games = confused OS

And I am half joking, I don't own System shock 2 anymore, that game doesn't exist apparently.

Virtual Consoles can emulate old hardware very well and will get you playing System Shock 2 in no time.

I just found it strange that the last time I tried I could get System Shock working but not its sequel, alas I still need to track down a copy of SS2, don't feel like bootleggin' it.

lawl. Get it on the PC, the PS3 has shown to have a substantial amount of problems with games ported from other consoles, with glitches irreparable because of how it functions.

Stick with Heavy Rain if you've got a PS3, if you want Mass Effect 2 either get an x-bawx or buy it for the vastly superior PC.

I'd suggest Uncharted 2 over Heavy Rain, pretty fantastic (closer to play style anyway, Heavy Rain is more of an adventure game). I haven't played Heavy Rain outside of the demo personally but damn, I hate indigo prophecy. The last half anyway, really liked the first half but then things got crazy stupid.

I have this sudden urge to post a fraps video of my half second loading screens on the Normandy using the PC version compared to the 360 version that basically gives you a sandwhich break...

I LOL'd, hard. So true. I have both versions and love my PC way more. Aiming is easier, I dont have to worry about overwritting old saves, load times are tiny, graphics are great, and I don't have to hear my wife nag me about hogging up the tv.

This makes no sense.  Just so you know if you ever need to make this argument in the future.  Porting console to console has nothing to do with performance.  The method used to do it does.  Most of the issue is the proprietary hardware sony uses and how low level the language they use is.  But that is all changing quickly as more and more titles are ported for it.  Oh by the way all games are ported to every console from a raw format.  That's another reason your comment makes no sense.

Other than the PC being vastly superior of course.

Jade Empire was a truly fantastic game on the original Xbox, after some considerable feedback from the Bioware community Bioware Corp decided to make the PC version.

Lets give Bioware some thanks for Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2 by asking them to kindly give us a PS3 Version of the game.

If we can show there is enough of a market for the game, EA/Bioware will listen.

So here's to you Bioware for 10 years of the very best Video Gaming - I raise my glass of Orange juice and slaute you!

I also sign this official petition to see the Mass Effect franchise on PS3...............

Come on guys lets show the need.

Sorry! That's for us X-Box owners! PS3 got Metal Gear Solid and God of War. Don't take this away from us!

Unreal Tournament 3 runs fine on PS3.  I will say that it is a crappy engine though.  Hope ID Software or someone comes up with an engine just for competition sake.  Epic looks like its going to turn into what ID turned into in the early 2000s.  I mean Unreal Engine 3 also sucks on Xbox360 to be perfectly honest, even Gears of War 2 was a glitchy mess at times.  Though it had higher detail and improved graphics than the first it also was more unstable.

Xbox 360 has Raiden Fighter Aces.

10 times better than MGS4 (Metal Gear online was cool, actually wish that was on 360 because Konami's online setup is worthless).  The God of War games are pretty sweet though.

That's why ME2 is market driven half-shooter garbage instead of a sequel to a hugely successful RPG.  EA just wants out of the contract and they will continue to deliver the bare minimum because that's how publishers prove to each other they have the biggest floppy dangle.

Reviews are bought and paid for.  Any critic who goes against the marketing power of a major publisher is retarded.  They make all their money by supporting the marketing departments of various publishers.  Don't you know how the system works?

Chris can you confirm there's an exclusivity contract with Microsoft?

Microsoft published ME1.... so they have rights to the franchise.  Probably part of there deal with EA is that EA can publish the game if they agree to keep it on Microsoft platforms (windows and xbox).

Oh please Lost Odyssey is better than most of the degenerate half rate RPG garbage on the PS3.

Cross Edge I am looking at YOU, Folklore too, **** Folklore.  Disgaea 3 would be alright for a PS2 game.

That part is incorrect, Microsoft had the rights to the franchise but when EA bought Bioware they bought also the IP's.

However I do believe there is an exclusivity contract (timed or full I could care less) for the first three ME games, which would most likely be an agreement with Microsoft for selling the IP.

I liked folklore:(

Anyways I never really considered Folklore to be an RPG, I always considered it an adventure game since you don't really choose how your character evolves or given much choices plot-wise.

1) True jade empire was great and they did decide to put it on PC.

2)Lets give them lots of praise for giving us some damn fine games in ME1 / ME2. More for 1 than 2 but that is indeed another cat to skin. For all the PS3 owners out there either buy a PC or X360 or go without.

3)I hope that they never listen to anything a fan ever says again cause they screwed the pooch on ME2 by fixing to much stuff. All the while not expanding it nearly enough.

4)Yes, indeed, thankyou very much Bioware for giving us games that are absolutely great.

Mass Effect is supposed to be a 3 part game. I don't see Bioware going back and porting ME1 a second time to the PS3 after 3 years. It took 6 months after release for ME1 to come to the PC because it wasn't originally designed to be available on PC. And on top of that also port ME2 to PS3. That is alot of investment with a small amount of return to try and catch marketshare of those people who only have PS3s and no Xbox360 or PC.
