I'd kinda expected her to eventually bug the blazes out of me, but she just reminds me of one of my friends from way back in middle school... who was also too cute for anyone to ever hate her. Hits a soft spot in me, I guess.

Pretty much this... I find her adorable and impossible to dislike.  It's nice to have someone around who is simply a nice, friendly person, you know?  Just as the OP has a hard time understanding why anyone would like her, I'm the complete opposite -- I have a hard time comprehending how a person can dislike her when she's so, well, likeable.

She gives me the creeps. It's not enough having an AI watching and reporting your every move - apparently you need a shrink dissecting you as well. I like the professional relationship with her best, but I intentionally flirt her up so I don't have to feed my fish anymore...

I don't know... maybe because she is the first character in game to show an interest in you. You don't have to run off and blow something up, kill her father, save someone she kidnapped or use your Spectre status to beat up a criminal in order to keep her son (who was clearly planning to kill someone) from going to jail.

Yeah.. I always try to keep a save around for immediately before each mission.. just in case.  Earlier ones don't matter, since you're so close to the beginning of the game, but I hate getting burned 20+ hours into it.

Good point.  Of course, it really should have been Kelly who tells you when Miranda/Jack or Tali/Legion get into it.  In fact, it would have been nice if she were there as well.

Get Legion's loyalty mission immediately after the IFF mission without attempting to fly anywhere first. If you have his mission, the crew won't get abducted til after you finish it.

If you try to fly somewhere without getting his mission first, they get abducted. don't do that.

This.  After getting the IFF, immediately see Legion, and get the mission.  You can still go on it.  If you have open missions and/or quests, I think you can go on one (some people say two, but I've only every had one) before the kidnap scene.

And after the kidnap, you immediately go through the relay.  Do not pass go.  Do not mine for resources.  Do not pop into Illium to pick up that last upgrade.

You CAN do research on the ship, but don't go anywhere except through the relay.

Do the IFF mission last (after all other recruitment/loyalty quests).  Once you say you are going to reactivate Legion to Miranda and Jacob then go do it.  Don't talk to anyone else.  Reactivate him and then converse with him a secon time and you get his mission.  Go do his mission immediately after that.  Don't go or do anything else because it will cause the abduction if you do.  Once his mission is complete and he and Tali have their little scuffle then the next time you go to the galaxy map the adbuction will happen.  Immediatley launch the suicide mission (MAKE SURE THE NORMANDY IS FULLY UPGRADED before the Reaper IFF mission).

I'm pretty much completely apathetic towards her.  I just don't care.  Well, I suppose that's not true.  I still feel as if I have to haul ass through the Omega 4 relay to save her, but that's probably because I can't imagine letting anyone die during the suicide mission now that I know how to save everyone.
Also, they gave her a haircut that I am not fond of at all.
