Hm. I think we should have a seperate forum for modules only where people present their projects and get instant feedback, advices etc. "Consumers" could also make topics to encourage new mods and those interested could then try to build it together. Like a wishlist of some sort.

If someone wants a particular armor they post a thred/poll in this forum and other who would like it joins them. That way builders and others could easily see what kind of mods people want etc..

That would be great, just my thought. Do you like the idea?

It's called "Groups" you can create one and it comes with it's own forums/posting board.

you could also always create your own forums which are linked from said groups. Zetaboards, proboards and invisionfree are your friends. :P

I think what he is asking for is a requests forum. A forum where people can post their module ideas for us modders to perhaps use. And also another "WIP" forum where you can post WIP screenshots etc of your projects for other toolset users to give Constructive Criticism on.

Most of it sounds like a request for a "Modules" section like on the NWNx forums. Sounds to me like a legit request.

A group sounds like insularity, open to the few. A modules forum sounds like it's open to all.

I´m planning a project. I could make a group, but since it´s a small project people won´t care really, there will be hundreds of groups in the future and people wont like browsing them all.

I could start a project site yes, I´ve been looking on 20-30 different one´s and seems like their discussion board isn´t what it should be. Maybe people feel like these boards are meant for the project owners etc. I don´t know.

If there was a module section, yes there will be lots of threads but i believe my chances of getting my ideas out there being read and discussed are better in such a section.

Hm..
I will post a poll about this, please make your voice heard.

/damn something´s wrong and this qoute**** got all ower my post. ****

With time I guess we'll get different sub-forums, same as in the NWN2 forum.

A groups forums can be open to anyone to post.

Groups are more of a hassle to look up, though. And a public modules forum would help in getting more feedback and input from all sorts of folks, rather than just a select / interested few.

Given that only a handful of people are making mods at this time, it's premature to ask for more forums. When the game ships, more of them will begin to pop up. Like mushrooms after a storm.

Bald chicks are kinda hot... Was that off-topic?

Yes, I think we'll need a modules folder. Although the NWN modules folder never got a lot of traffic, still it kept most of the advertising out of the other folders.

I'm sure they will be adding a Scripting Topic, Custom Content Topic etc, I'm sure they will be adding a modules topic also - just be patiant.

But for now, a group would work.

Personally, I would love to see "Forum" functionality inside Groups (like these forums) rather than the current "Discussions" format ... that would give us all the ability to host our mod forums (and other forums) with sub area's, etc. No need for external forums at all, then.

That would be great. Also as already said a group blog would be nice.

Excellent suggestion - both Groups and Projects would benefit from this.

Just wanted 2 add that any additional breakdown in the forums, by Bioware, (i.e., module forum) might help, but the project section seems 2 already fill this...
