At first I was going to study a course specifically aimed at the programming of video games, but in the end I decided to do something that involved more languages and writing. I'm still going to try and get into the industry somehow, but as a writer instead of a programmer. A lot of studios seem to need writers these days.

Getting a job in the game industry is pretty hard I think. They want people who have been developing some games already or even sold them. And ofcourse the want extended knowledge in many areas.
I'm bachelor of science and just studying master in the field of information systems. I already worked in small teams before, developing software, even 3D graphics applications with OpenGL. But I do not really consider a place in the gaming industry. Of course it would be nice, but it's too unpredictable for me.

while true, companies do hire interns and starting programmers, writers, and such to hone their skills to where they need to be to be an employee, so even fresh colledge students should be able to find work somewhere.
