How do you fix that double entry thing?
Can't be fixed, unfortunately. We must rely on the good faith of others.
or possibly a different survey tool.

"If you are looking for accuracy, never ask a fanboy anything about their opinion." No, if you are looking for a good prediction of how *you* will feel about a character or game, you should be wary of fanboy/girl opinions and just see for yourself. Still has nothing to do with polling who people's favorite characters are.
I peacefully disagree, you don't ask a fanboy nothing. At best you will get lucky and agree with them, most commonly you will look at yourself and see a donkey.
It is just a reality and even in the corporate world they know they must do certain things to adjust for the margin of error, this is all I am adding, nothing more, nothing less.

It's just an opinion survey. It's not like we're deciding the futures of our respective countries here. Even the most rabid fanboys should have their opinions counted--once. That's really the bigger problem here, but XX55XX seems to think it's not having as disproportionate effect as it could, so I'm willing to take that at face value.
Delta, I never called you a fanboy. You're the only person to have used that word in this thread, and you started leveling it against others.
I just think, if we're gonna have a poll, why not get a objective view on people's preferences, and if a person can't be objective, then we really don't need their input, but that is just me talking, maybe others feel like you do. I know I at least heard one person see it from my POV in this thread.

Instead of spending hours punching in numbers into SPSS, we will have a revised version of the character survey which I started a few days ago. This time, you will take a survey on Google Docs, which will ask several questions and ask you to rate each character on a scale of 1-10, just as before.
Why am I doing this? This way, we can decrease the amount of work necessary in preparing the results, and we can also call on a much larger sample size. And also, asking people about how their romances went in ME1 and ME2 may shed light on how people rate certain characters over others.
You may find the survey here.
If there are any problems, let me now. And please, do not submit more than once! If you do so, this will skew the data.
Edit 1: The survey has exceeded over 1,000 responses. I am shutting it down. Thanks for voting!

No fans should be in a war.
fighting amongst what we want will only lead Bioware to create new crap, throw it at us, and hope it sticks.
The fanbase uniting and establishing that they want the characters, old and new, to return, would be far more beneficial to EVERYONE'S goals.
Naturally, everyone is doing the opposite and resorting to popularity contests and flamewars.

We should really find some site that is not this one to get some data from. I think that here you're going to get the most extreme opinions, which aren't indicative of anything besides what the most extreme segment of the fanbase thinks.

I had no idea that there was fanboy/girl drama on these forums.
Does that happen in those relationship or "X character LOVE" threads that I so meticulously avoid?

I plan to scrap the results. I will be posting the results for the new survey, later, however. Consider this survey a test survey.
