Hi, I'm looking for ME2 cheats (to be more precise, something to give me a lot/infinite credits and, if possible, minerals also), but I couldn't find anything on Google. Were the cheats even released?

Ah, and BTW, in order to avoid the "LAMAH! BEAT THE GEIM WITZOUT CH34TS LIKE I D1D IM A PR0!", and other idiotic posts like that, I must say that I've already beaten the game, I'm playing a 2nd round, and I just want to avoid the tediousness of looking for them (specially credits...they were massively found at ME1, and barely now in ME2...what about some balance, Bioware?).

Thx in advance for your answers.

I don't think there are any cheats for the game. Looks like you have to do it the old fashion way. "Probe away." "Are you serious Commander? Probing Uranus."

All SP games have cheats. And I'm more concerned about credits than resources. They're such a pain in the ass to get....

There isn't a console in this game as far as I know. You will have to edit some ini files. Look here http://www.gamefaqs....&topic=53285451 for an easy way to do it.

I only edited the same things you want too, credits and resources. After playing the game a couple of times, scanning gets really tedious. After downloading from the above link, open BIOinput.ini in the configs file, search for [SFXGame.SFXGameModeDefault] and add the following lines below it:

Bindings=( Name="NumPadSeven", Command="initcredits 500000" )

Bindings=( Name="NumPadFive", Command="initpalladium 5000000 | initiridium 5000000 | initeezo 5000000 | initplatinum 5000000" )

Save the file, load the exe and press compile Coalesced.ini. That's it. In game, press either 7 for credits or 5 for resources in the numpad.

MANY thx! It worked like a charm!

BTW, a noob question...does anybody know when exactly the "Ability changer" prototype tech is avaliable in the Research Lab? I want to tweak my char abilities a bit before engaging into more missions...

Are you sure? In Wikia ME2 (Mission summary), it doesn't say anything about it...

I can confirm it's after Horizon, I wanted a tweak in subsequent playthrough too but couldn't get access to it until then.

Agreed with Paeyvn, after you get onboard of Normandy, and of course have Mordin in tech lab, so the doors are open. XD

That's one of the reasons you get prompted to recruit the professor as the first one. :)

About cheating, it really isn't that hard to get those resources. Aspecially when you get a nice way of scanning. I examinated it, and found one thing - when examining a planet and you find 2 sources really close to each other, but still cannot get both with one drone, the resources around the area you used drone may change it's place. Appear in some places you did already scanned.

And the best way of scanning ( at least for me seems the easiest ) to move the scanner in a line from up to down trought whole planet high. After one move I turn the cointer about 2 crates right and repeat. You should not miss a vein bigger than 1/4 of the scale, if you happen to miss any.

Doesn't matter, I've managed to summon 3 extra talent points via Coalesced ^^ Now my lvl 4 Slam does a serious bunch of pain :D

Can it be edited to award Squad points to squadmates, or to reset squadmate points? Because that's what I'd really like to do. /cry

No it isn't hard to get the resources, it's just boring as hell and doesn't add anything to the game.  Right now I've played through the game twice and while I would play through it again with different chars, I'm not going to because I can't stand planet scanning.

I found a way.

Bindings=( Name="NumPadZero", Command="givetalentpoints #" ) where "#" is obviously replaced with a number. In contrast to Mass Effect, this is also given to your squad mates.

Press 0 on Numpad.
???
Recieve Bacon.

It is not as good as resetting my points, but at least I can now give Garrus 2 extra points to make up for a mistake I made. The fact that I and Tali also get 2 extra points.. I can live with that (possible everyone else too, but I'm in the middle of a mission, so the only ones I have checked are my current squaddies, which is Tali and Garrus).

Yeah I gotta figure out how to do all of this plus change the name of the next char I import so it isn't the same as the first two play throughs I did via the same import but with NG+

There's also a nice save game editor.

You can give yourself Credits, Resources, Talent Points (can give them to squadmates as well), etc. I was even able to equip armor pieces that weren't available to me yet (just don't try to edit them in game). As per the name of the site, you can also import faces with it, change your gender, Origin, Service History, all sorts of stuff.

I figured on my fourth playthrough, giving myself a few million credits and more resources than I will ever need seemed fair.. scanning planets isn't my idera of fun.

Thx, but I prefer Coalesced...afterall, I already got my ideal N7 armor configuration (colors included) from the beginning of my new game when I loaded my previous, finished ME2 savegame.

It's a cleaner way, too...who knows if savegame editing could corrupt the saves and you can't use them any longer for ME3 or something...

There is now a 2.5 version of Gibbed's editor.
http://mod.gib.me/ma...eedit_rev25.zip

I cannot for the life of me figure out a way to give extra talents to my henchmen, though. I wanted to give a few henchmen a couple of extra talents. Overload to Tali, Tech Armor to Jacob, things like that. But so far, no dice.

It's pretty awesome for other things, though. Tried to find Gibbed's site or something to keep up with updates, but couldn't find it.

I checked out the save game editor and love it (second time through game). However, there wasn't and option to get another special weapon on the Collector ship. I didn't see an option in this tool to add it. Does anyone know how?

Checking around, no.

There is a way to do it through the .ini (but I didn't keep track of how), but it feels a bit invasive to me. I'd be surprised if Gibbed doesn't add it later.

Anyone know a way to allow your character to use more weapons? I'm running through as an adept and would rather have an assault rifle as an option. I figure if Samara can use one why not me?

Cheats are things you do when you have already beaten the game and want to do something a bit more...interesting. Such as combining aspects of the Adept and Infiltrator class. (still a work in progress)

That or sometimes you wish to get rid of some of the more annoying aspects of the game, like limited credits, probing for mineral (do you really enjoy spending hours mining for Iridium?), and running out of sniper ammo when you are an Infiltrator.

There are two great ones out there the; the mods for the Coalesced.ini and Gibb's savegame mod. I have high hopes that the Gibbs mod will be able to eventually allow custom classes.

I've been unable to change talents using the savegame editor, unfortunately. I'm not sure what is causing it, but it simply ignores any changes aside from the number of assigned points. I can add extra bonus skills (such as having Inferno Grenades, Dominate and Shredder Ammo at the same time) but as far as adding one class talent to another class - no dice. Tried to change Infiltrator Cryo Ammo into Incendiary Ammo, but it just keeps resetting.

Also, a heads up on Gibbed. His page is rarely updated these days for some reason, but he's active on his Twitter account; https://twitter.com/gibbed. Go there to give feedback or nag him.

Don't play games with cheats they make people lazier.
