What do you guys think is the most underrated class on insanity? In other words, a class that has the potential to be powerful but no one thinks that they are.
In my opinion, I think the Engineer is probably the most underrated. After skimming through the forums, I've come across a ton of Vanguard / Adept forums, discussing and proving there usefulness in Insanity. Engineers however, has little feedback provided.
I've played an Engineer all the way through hardcore and I took him into my Insanity run. I personally think that it is the most powerful class that I have played thus far, mainly because it has such great utility. Its powers can range from destroying shields / tech, Disinigrating Armor / organics. Controlling one target via drone or controlling a tech via AI Hacking. Everyone underestimates the usefullness of the drone mainly because it does not have as much health as they would like them to have, yet their cooldown is only three seconds, allowing you to keep it up and doing consistent 100 damage everytime its destroyed.
So what are your thoughts and opinions?

Vanguard by far. When played well it is a lethal killing machine. Yet most people still think that it sucks.
I tried Engineer, but I do not enjoy that style of play, but I belive it can do very well on Insanity.

By now it's probably the engineer. Almost no one talks about them, and the few comments I've heard are along the lines of 'combat drone doesn't help much.'
Then again, maybe they actually aren't underrated and actually are bad. Hard to tell; I don't play them.

One question I would like answered is whether Drones Explosions are affected by +% power damage and Tech damage upgrades. If so the Explosive Drone would be the most powerful AoE in the game.

Adept and Vanguard, because they are alot harder to pull off.
Engineer isn't talked about much for Insanity, but generally people believe its doable because the playstyle isn't much different from Norm/Vet/Hardcore.

Under-Rated? I'd say Adept, solely because there's many out there who seem to think its "do-able but no fun." I'd say Engineer isn't underrated but ignored. Most people seem to think its simpler to play on HC/Insanity because of the combat drone/overload/incinerate abilities.
Most Overrated is the Sentinel. I think in a few months, everyone will look back at the sentinel and think its good if you make a lot of mistakes and get shot, but the actual killing speed is pretty low.

This is true. The sentinel feels like playing ME1: You never die, but it takes you ages to kill anything.
OT: Engineer isn't underated, just overlooked. The most underated classes are the Vanguard and Adept becausce they require such a huge shift in play style that most people don't bother or don't enjoy them once they change.

Just to start out Amrose2 You Pic is HOT!!! now that i got that out the way I agree with your quote Adept is harder to pull off in Insanity but if you are able to do so your skilled in that class I for one am a soldier and am playing one on Insanity and I do fairly well for limited powers
