Using one power puts all your other powers on cooldown. So no.
But, if you have enough upgrades and skills you can greatly reduce CD. My Eng can throw drone---gsb back to back

It disables the visuals not the shield boost.Paeyvn wrote...
No, cloak's CD doesn't start til you actually shoot. And activating cloak disables the shield boost.

Fixed that for you.Astalder wrote...
That said Geth Shield rocks on Infiltrator for when your shields drop, you pop that sucker and 12 seconds later THEN you cloak.
The long cooldown GSB applies to all your other powers is crippling in my opinion.
I don't understand why it's so popular.
Using Tactical Cloak and Incenerate is more dps.
Using upgraded Unity to recover shields doesn't put your other powers on cooldown for as long a time.
Why do people love GSB so much?

Well I can't speak for everyone, but I take it mainly for the +10% weapon damage. Sure, on its own it seems wimpy, but combine it with Miranda's +15% squad weapon damage bost (under cerberus leader), all +weapon damage bonus armor pieces (recon hood included), and each weapon upgrade and it's actually quite devastating.WillieStyle wrote...

Once you get the shield upgrades, you can make GSB last long enough to take down an entire room (tactically of course). Just make sure to turn it on before you feel that you're about to enter another battle so you have the opportunity to use it in unison with HAR.
Also forgot to add that I was mainly using the revenant LMG with this stacked combo.

Interesting...can't say I've noticed that. Makes me like GSB even more now.

Frankly I found GSB better than cloak on my infiltrator, so I never noticed the 12 seconds. It probably has something to do with the fact that enemies take cover while you're cloaked, which makes it a troublesome skill at best. Much better to pop up, shoot, if you get hit a bunch pop GSB, if things aren't as hairy use cloak.
Why play an Infiltrator at all then over a Soldier if you don't think TC is worth it?

Simple... I liked everything about the concept of the Infiltrator class... but in practice the experience I had with TC is that when you use it, whoever you're trying to snipe has a 75% chance of staying under cover while it's up. It's a psychic NPC syndrome. If you've played the class surely you've noticed this, whether or not it bothers you is subjective.
Actually I have played the class, and it's called timing. They don't just instantly crouch back down as soon as you use the ability, and you can wait until they are rising from their initial crouch before you use it. I have never had problems using the ability this way and I play only on Insanity.

For everyone that DOES experience the phenomenon of TC = your target of focus automatically stays in cover, I recommend GSB, it provides a great flow for sniping as you can pop, shoot, pop, shoot, GSB, pop, shoot, repeat.
