My character is a level 25-30 Adept. I am playing on hardcore difficulty. I see that warp and reave have the same 6 second timer. Would warp ammo serve me better than being stuck waiting for a timer when im trying to singularity and heavy warp combo?
Reave vs Warp Ammo on hardcore.

Yes. Reave is stronger than Warp on it's own, but if you are using Warp for combos its pointless to have both. Warp ammo is a nice passive bonus to have.

I found on insanity after a while that Reave became mute once I noticed that Singularity stuns defended enemies. Instead of spamming Reave I ended up spamming Singularity which can stop Harbinger, Scions and any other enemies other than Geth Primes,YMIR Mechs, FENRIS Mechs (Dogs) and Praetorians from moving/shooting. That leads to more singularity/warp spamming and Reave never gets used. Basically Singularity saves your life better than Reave does and can be up 24/7.
So I ended up going back home to Warp Ammo but Heavy instead of Squad because they become somewhat useless on Insanity except for spamming powers and shooting from behind the front lines or meatshields in enclosed spaces to die first. You end up doing 50% more damage to everything except maybe shields and even more damage vs. everything (almost seems like twice as much similar to Reave) if you have them effected by biotics *cough* Singularity *cough*.
This allows you to throw singularity, shoot up whatever is stuck inside and use a Warp to cause a biotic detonation once somethings defenses are down. OR when in a really bad situation and you need to keep a whole bunch of enemies at bay spam Singularity on a groups/bosses to keep them at bay (again they won't fly around but they won't shoot back or move either) and depend on your warped weapon for taking stuff out.

I tried both - ended up going back to warp ammo.

Personally I think Barrier is the best bonus talent, neither Reave nor Warp Ammo will save you from a zerg rush.

You already have warp, I don't know why you would need warp ammo in particular.
I would pick something for survivability like barrier, or something fun like dominate, or something to help with shields like energy drain.
IMO you should just take along a squad member who can give you his ammo power.

The only problem with barrier is its very situational for its recharge. Especially when your shields are taken out right away and your trying to put it back up when husks attack then having to wait 6.5ish-12 seconds to use a power again. Your better off throwing a singularity and by the time it recharges you and your squad will have most likely taken down armor on them. Followed by another Singularity = Instant skill. Backing up helps as well vs. Zerg rush.
Again Warp Ammo's biggest bonus is that its passive. This allows you to focus on crowd control and damage rather than trying to keep barrier up or desperately trying to take down defenses with Reave so you can get your HP bonus. Also warp ammo does tons of damage to husks stuck in the singularity and can strip their defenses and auto kill them before the singularity gives out.

I went with Reave, I found it very usefull when dealing with multiple targets that are ducking behind cover. Hit them with reave and they end up standing up in pain which made them easy targets.
Warp was a good follow up and just used singularity when dealing with mobs up close.

I preferred Barrier as well. I tend to take along whoever has the ammo I need. Against Biotics, I specced Jack to have Warp Ammo and take her along. Against organics, Garrus' AP Ammo is top-notch. Against synthetics, Zaeed's Disruptor Ammo is pretty spiffy.
Barrier helps me out when I'm actually in trouble. Warp Ammo doesn't.

.
Warp ammo does increased damage to targets held in biotic fields (like singularity), at least according to Mass Effect Wikia.

Don't forget Grunt when fighting Krogans and Vorcha!

When I shift from reave to warp ammo will I get my sp back? I use singularity a lot so reave forces me to wait too often. Also I use Garrus and Thane so I can have snipers and overload.

Warp ammo is so boring to use as an Infiltrator on Hardcore. Yeah, it's good from what I hear. But reave is just as deadly or more & is SO fun to use. + it's pain to switch ammo types repeatedly.
