Maybe he'll be Anora's Hand?
Disregard that actually. He'll probably still be with the Grey Wardens. Maybe he'll be in a different country?

Ok, seriously. If the choices you make in DAO are kept, he'll probably have his statue in Denerim (which we won't see as it doesn't take place in Denerim) and he will not play a big role I suppose even if you kept him alive (how could you as an elf:O).
DAO has its most choices that really matter shortly before the end, I guess that's not for having them playing a big role in Awakening.

I have doubts he'll return though given Mary(Writer) isnt working on this expansion (Author of: Loghain/Sten ). If he did it wouldnt seem like same character given its a different writers view of the character - Ive not read the book's so cannot judge how David handles Loghains character.
Explains his absence, but still I dont think my characters trust him enough to go off alone like that, lol. Especially given past experiences. When he lives the epilogue says he works hard to recruit more Wardens and so forth. It would certainly make sense for him to have a role if he lives.

Since hes alive in (2/2) of my complete games, I hope something is said about him atleast (his death sentence vs Archdemon).
Loghain *alive* past the Archdemon would seem more difficult to answer considering you just made him a Grey Warden, how can you just leave him? would that be wise?
I doubt he'll return though given Mary(Writer) isnt working on this expansion (Sten too).
You know, just because a writer leaves does not mean other people can't write for their characters... It's not like they said, "Well, Mary's gone, guess no one can write for Sten." Or did they... hmmmmmm

b\\c in his epilogue, if he survived Landsmeet and archdemon...I thought it mentioned he trains Grey wardens for a time before heading off to the deep roads.....
So chances are he is in the deep roads somewhere, if not dead already.....

The taint takes 30 years to kill a Grey warden, Loghain has more lifeforce left than the Warden himself.

It's quite sad really, because Loghain's character grew on me despite the fact he wasn't really a companion for long.

But he was much older when he became a Warden... he might not get the whole 30 years.

I saw nothing in the game stating "30 years give or take" from Alistair meant you had to be young.
Old age shouldnt matter given Wynne (Or keldorn from BG2). For some he could be an Anti-keldorn character, for others he could be keldorn (since I viewed keldorn as justice heavy rather than Good. I hold same opinion on Alistair) Both characters want to save their country, they use different methods to get the job done. Perhaps a thought for DA2 if it happens *years* later.
Regardless Awakenings isnt set years later, it is a few months later. It would seem alittle odd to follow an epilogue "he died years later" in the deeproads.

If Loghain is conscripted but survives the final battle, then he becomes a major recruiter for the Grey Wardens before eventually venturing into the Deep Roads to die fighting the darkspawn.
It doesn't mention in the epilogue how many years eventually actually means....
