I think the Reapers are actually Geth from the future.
that doesn't make any sense. I mean they have been around for millions of years. The derelict reaper was 37 Million years old. Even the Reapers hate the Geth. Remember Saren explain that to Shepard. He says "Soverign does care for the Geth's devotions. They are just tools."
I know its not word for word, but thats pretty much what he says. So your theory is not good. I do think however that the reapers were made by an old race. Much like Quarians made the geth.

I wouldn't have screwed tali.:(now i feel terrible
No, seriously, does it not give 360 owners that option to find out that the shadow broker tried to sell me to the collecters?

1. The Illusive Man I suspect is the Shadow Broker.
2. The Illusive Man I suspect is not a Human but in fact a benign Alien from an ancient race (possibly a non-altered Prothean who escaped the Reapers previously) who is fighting the Reapers.
3. Evidence for this comes from EDI's ability to defeat the Collector cyber suite (the Illusive Man's access to technology to rival the Reapers/Collectors)
4. Evidence for this comes from the Illusive Mans eyes - he is digital one way or another - a preserved consciousness of sorts etc.
5. The Illusive Man also says at one point that the Collectors (and Reapers) are the biggest threat to Shepherd and humanity, and the phrasing excludes himself. (initially he refers to himself as human generally, though this could be as a reference to him sharing the same fate as humanity, hence his humanity, if the Reapers win)
6. When queried on the quality of his information about the disabled Collector Vessel he says something like "information is my business" which places him squarely in position as a possible "Shadow Broker"
7. Cerberus is known to operate in "cells". Cells do not know what other cells are doing. hence the Illusive Man is able to ingratiate his own progressed technology and knowledge into Cerberus without risk of discovery so long as the discoveries are not meteoric jumps.
8. I have found nothing contrary that excludes the Illusive Man from being either the Shadow Broker or a benign Alien assisting the non-Reaper races.
9. In regards to Cerberus professed "human centricity", this simplifies the political position and social front of the Illusive Mans position and provided that "all acts against the Reapers" can also be regarded as "acts for the benefit of humanity" 100% there is no problem.
10. Humanity has been chosen on the basis of their flexibility and independence to act as the Illusive Mans agent against the Reapers, even though it will benefit all free races in the galaxy.

That seems a bit far fetched.

the only hole i can poke in this is the intro cutscene with Miranda who seems to be interacting with him in person, unless he is some sort of hologram or she is, but i doubt it.
i do think he is the Shadow Broker though, and the more i think about him and his motives, i don't really think he is all that "evil", especially given that Cerberus was originally an Alliance Black Ops division (and may still be)

read the comic, read the books and
play masseffect 1 where is is made clear that the shadow broker has been around for centuries maybe even thousands of years.
Also during ME1 you fight cerberus, then a shadow broker agent asks you for the intel you got from them.
the Illusive Man & the shadow broker are not the same but IF even the Illusive Man knows about the Reapers I woder what the shadow broker will do about it.

And as far as the shadow broker goes...I agree with that Volus in the financial disctrict of the citadel. It is improbable that the shadow broker is just one person, unless the shadow broker is a massive AI that can handle multiple negotiations or whatever

1.Who was Wilson really working for?
2.Who is Miranda's father?
3.Why wasn't Ashley taken on Horizon?
4.Does anyone know what Ashley wanted to tell Shepherd before he departed to Ilos?
5.Will Shepherd have the opportunity to become a parent in ME3?
6.Is the Illusive Man really human? Think back to the conversation that he had with Shepherd after escaping the Collector Ship. T.I.M. used an interesting choice of words. Remember when he said, "You and every other human......." Why not "We" or "Us?"

Theory 1.....The council makes a deal with the Nazara to spare the rest of the galaxy but, must hand over Shepherd and all of humanity on a silver platter. This could possibly explain why they are so reluctant to believe anything Shepherd says.
Theory 2...The Alliance somehow orchestrates the Nazara threat to begin with only to have humanity come in and save the day thus, possibly gaining enough momentum and support to overthrow the council and have humanity be the leaders of the galaxy. Let's not forget Kasumi's loyalty mission and the information that got her lover killed.
These ARE just theories though.

Thanx for clearing that up. While they were away shoving Big Mac's down their gullets, the crew was in the midst of getting their ****e$ Sam Jacksoned.
Sam Jacksoned: The act of one getting the tar beat out of them possibly leading to death. It was coined recently be three individuals residing in South Florida referencing the fact that Samuel L. Jackson has been in countless movies where either he died or got the $h!t kicked out of him.
