For everyone that says no, there is another that says yes.

And for every person with good tastes in the world, there are numerous ones with exceptionally bad ones like you.

Mmmh...well, to the OP's credit, if ships really did travel Faster Than Light (FTL), then TECHNICALLY they'd already be going back in time.

However, no.

No, Hell No, **** no, how much more NO do you need.

Time travel is far to convoluted and has ruined entire franchises of sci fi. Lets not forget the entire concept of paradox.

I go back in time to save Wrex, now Wrex is alive so I have no reason to go back in time to save Wrex, so Wrex is dead, so I go back in time to save Wrex, so Wrex is alive, so I have no reason to go back in time to save Wrex, so Wrex is dead, etc.

Just make your decision's count the first time.

I imagine a scene where you travel back in time to a point where Garrus was a 2 year old baby.

Shepard: "Hey, baby, Garrus. You're a cute widdle baby Garrus, aren't you. Wanna come talk to your uncle Shepard?"

Baby Garrus: "Can it wait a moment? I'm in the middle of some callibrations."

LMAO!

Poor OP.

But still....no. I'm getting sickening flashbacks of the last few episodes of Felicity. Er, Lost, I mean Lost!

Throw in a Huey Lewis soundtrack, and you've got my support.

If our current understanding of special relativity is true in Mass Effect land (which by no means does it have to be in a fictional work), then time travel is possible because of the existence of FTL travel.

well id like them to let us LOOK back in time. To the first race the ones who were the cause of all this madness. I think the third one will be a huge sacrifice for humanity. say earth. There is so much we don't know. But I agree that only star trek could pull off the time travel bit. Maybe time dilation would be possible but many think time travel to be impossible in the way that you mean. you cannot go back in time in other words.

Unlike the ignorant fools who only posted no, i know to look at both sides.

time dilation is the more probable route they would take much like the soldiers adrinalin burst slows people this would just slow or speed up time within a "buble" unfourtently once the bubble burst everything you did will of been undone and all you got was a little more time. we have seen this in science fiction before. like the stargate series.

I don't think this should be totally writtin off with no conversation about it. They could use very powerful mass effect fields to do this. techinicallly when ever you use a mass relay you jump through time and space.

While it might solve the mystery of scale itch on Normandy, it is way too much trouble and causes brain-xplode.

whats all this "no" about? wasnt it obvious thats whats they were hinting at with ME2's ending?

come on people, collectors build a giant terminator, send it back in time to kill shepard because the reapers know shep will be theyre downfall! its so obvious!"

then again.......

Four pages of people saying no... Finally something we all agree on LOL.

You know, I like time travel in some cases. But I definitely wouldn't want it here.

I actually thought about how one solution, besides a virus (which has been done so many times over with alien invasion scenarios), would be to go back in time and knock out the reapers before they had a chance to take sh*t over.

Then I remembered that all our tech is based off the reapers and that there will always be a badguy and even though the reapers are hardcore evil who is to say that the next badguy won't be more evil? Or you could somehow screw up so badly another you is sent back into the past and when you two meet the entire universe will implode.

Or worse! You could accidentally make out with your great*1,000 grandma! =P
