So far I've cleared ME 2 twice on Insanity and looking for a third go, but not sure what class to choose next.
I've already cleared it with a Paragon Soldier and a Renagade Adept. I'm looking for a class that isn't similar to either but also pretty enjoyable at that difficulty.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
So which toon next?

Engineer sounds ok, but from what i've heard it's not well regarded on Insanity!

In common english it means a cartoon character. He surely just meant a game character. You have to confess that more detailed the RPG is, the more it looks like movie, maybe that's why he used therm "toon"?

I didn't like Engineer on Insanity in ME1, but it seems like it can deal a lot more damage in ME2 now as well as other abilities to control the flow of battle. If not Engineer, you could try out Vanguard and its Charge ability.

Engineer or Sentinel would be the most obvious choices, since they're the tech-based classes. Infiltrator could work too, but it might be too similar to Soldier. What playstyle did you use for your soldier? Duck in cover and then Adrenaline Rush with Assault Rifles? If so, that's probably similar to Infiltrator.
