Hi -

I bought Mass Effect *1* last week ... I bought it via D2D ... and followed their instructions - which were to register the game at accounts.bioware.com, which I did and it was fine, got all the goodies etc etc ... the problem is ... now it seems that ME1 is registered over there ... and somehow I am now registered here with ME2 which I just bought today and hooked up following the instructions in the retail box ...

Both registrations have worked and I have got my content etc but it just seems ...

... convoluted.

So ...

So I have the same account linked at two different sites ... but only one site shows certain games and this site then shows the newer games ?  Basically?

Is this going to be reconciled at some future point so ALL games and ALL forums for those games are accessed through *this site* and not 50 other ones ?

I have no idea, but I can explain why this happened: Mass Effect predates the creation of this site, which was created specifically to encourage the modding communities for Dragon Age and ME2 and to develop into a Facebook-like place for sharing content, ideas, et cetera. The site itself seems to have achieved only a moderate success in that regard. I'm assuming that moving forward all of Bioware's new games will appear here. As to whether the older games like NWN and Jade Empire will ever be integrated into this site, it's possible but I doubt anyone's going to invest the time and effort into it, frankly.
