I'll definitely leave work early, I have considered taking the day off but I just can't do that this time around. I will be taking a day or two off for the SWTOR release, just because, well its an MMO, not a single player game where it doesn't matter where other peeps are at in the game.

I might consider this option, being diligent really pays off in this kind of situation...so maybe 1-2 days off if my said diligence doesn't get the best of me that is.

I bargained for the week off to play DAO when I was being interviewed for my current job. And that was more than 2 years ago.

I'm already taking a week-off for super-secret reasons! But I can't tell you.

I may take some time off sleep, other than that I've got school/work everyday of the week :/

I'm not deliberately taking any time off, but I happened to have a day off on Nov 9th. That same week is the Remembrance Day holiday on Nov 11th so there's going to be a nice stretch of free days within the week of release to play. Worked out well once DA:O was delayed to Nov 3rd.

On rare occasions in the past, I have actually taken a day or two off of work to play a highly anticipated game. And I am considering doing so again for the release of Dragon Age.
Any body else ever do this? And is anyone thinking of doing this for Dragon Age?

No. I'll have enough time to play this game without taking off from school.

I don't know why or how, but I do know that I will get sick November 4.

I won't need to since I am a student and have more than enough time to play and get my work done.

I usually end up with a day off work every week, so I just requested to have it on the 3rd of November. I cannot decide if I want to "get" sick for classes on Wednesday, I probably will not, and will still go to class, again class first game later. I may just be a little tiered for class on the 4th. All night gaming rocks.

Just purely by chance, I have 2 weeks off work around the time the game comes out. Will have a few days to stock up on sleep prior to a week long blitz from launch.

I dont have the luxury of planning days of, but I can plan some hours, as long as i reach 30 hours a week. I'll just plan the last couple of days really empty.

Purely by coincidence, I've got the week after release booked as my last holiday of the year - after that, we're in the dead-zone, where holidays are forbidden (I work on a helpdesk for a retail company, so none of us get holidays during the run-up to Xmas, otherwise nothing would get done - it gets that busy)
As I said, pure fluke; I asked my boss when the latest I could take time off was, and booked it off, back before summer. Lucky me - assuming there isn't a postal strike, and the release doesn't get moved, and that some crisis at work doesn't cancel my holiday time.
