If Tali and Garrus count for both: new crew by a million billion miles.

If Tali and Garrus only count for the old crew: Yeah, still the new crew. Only by about a thousand miles though.

I wouldn't choose between them. It doesn't fit to story. I didn't like Ashley anyway and she was a racist and I love aliens. She took herself away. I don't care her anymore. She was a good friend but nothing more. I'm sure she will help us against the Reaper invasion. I like Miranda but I can accept it again only if she leaves Cerberus. Jacob was a nice guy it's same for him as it was for Miranda. Kaiden was death in my choices and he will always be death. I took him only one time to my crew and it was only beginning of the game. I love Tali. She will be with us until the end I'm sure about that. It's same for Garrus. Wrex is done with ME1 for me. I saved him but I don't need him Grunt is much better than him. I have almost never used Mordin. But he is fine in the lab. So I don't need him while we are fighting. Zaeed was definitely a unnecessary char. I don't want him in the team next time. Thane is absolutely perfect. He needs no words. Jack is absolutely great. She's a great biotic. She suppose to be with us until the end also. Samara is also great but if it's gonna cost to Liara I'll choose Liara. She were great in first game and she must be much powerful in the third game. Maybe more powerful than Samara or Jack. I'm not sure about Legion's fate but I like geths; even in the first game, I was sad because they were our enemies. I want him in the team also. So i choose new crew with Tali, Garrus and Liara.

KEEP Tali, for she is the Captain's woman. (This captain's anyway.)

Keep Garrus.

Keep them for no other reason than those two dreaded, "self-serving" (According to Ashley) aliens were the only ones from ME to stick by you.

I'm ok with Miranda. I wouldn't mind digging into Legion some more.

The rest can vanish.

Well, there was Joker and Dr.Chakwas, who specifically said she was following YOU.

Original crew of course. Better written, had more impact on the plot, and have been here since the beginning. ME2 crew felt like warm bodies to throw at a sucide mission.

Amazing how when Bioware finally create a game that is supposed to be "about the squadmates", they fumble and manage to make them the most lacklustre Ive ever seen.

This.

I could get through all of Wrex's, Tali's, and Garrus's dialogs in 4 chats.
I could get through all of Ashley's, Kaiden's, and Liara's dialogs in about 5-6 chats (I forget)

That's pretty much exactly the format of the ME2 conversations as well.  I see no difference other than the fact that the ME1 crew was more interesting.

Gyah! Even though Tali an' Garrus are in old crew, I'd choose the new squad, hands down.

Tali, Garrus an' Wrex are the only ones I'd be missing out on. Liara... I just don't have much trust for her after ME2. Unstable. Kaidan I killed off, Ash I could care less for.

Liara did seem,a little...off her rocker. Especially if you read the comic with the CE game. Ashley interaction was very cold for somebody that loved you and now sees you come to life.

New crew. The only member whom I missed in ME2 was Wrex. Liara, Ash and Kaidan can go out of the airlock for all I care. Jack can go out of the airlock too.

Is wrong.  The lack of Liara has clouded your minds, good sirs,  if you don't think characters like Legion and Mordin are not some of the best written Bioware characters.

Mordin and Thane will be dead in ME3. Mordinf rom an advanced case of old, and Thane from kepral syndrome.

Oh ya, thats right, the character who comes in right before what little that constitutes the plot in ME2 comes to a close. Yeah, I really had time to get to know him.

Mordin? Hes likeable because of comic relief, and his personal plot is quite high quality, but its too simple. All gets done and dusted. Makes sense for the mission, but not for a character I can honestly say is one of Biowares best ever.

He was certainly, along with Samara, my favourite out of ME2, but I would completely take ME1 squadmates over them both any day.

I think Biowares best characters have always been ones who are neatly woven into the plot. Its anything but neat in ME2, its simply "becuz of teh sooeysyde mishin!"

...Can't we just have both?

Ashley/Kaidan, Liara, and Wrex are the only ones missing from the new crew. 3 peeps compared to 11.

Let's just have a mix of both please. Let everybody have some closure.

Old crew.

Might take me a few minutes, But Ash and Wrex would win out in the end.

If not, Ash and Garrus.

The addition of Tali has clouded your good sir, if you think that Legion and Mordin are the cream of the crop...

I liked how the new crew was written, but if I had to choose I guess I would go with the old crew. The new crew (for the most part) feels like a group professionals who are going about a job. The old crew had a kind of "unlikely heroes" vibe going for it that appealed to me.

A cop, a scientist, and some Marines are unlikely heroes...? The bounty hunter, okay, I'll give you that.

Its not just about the characters though, its about the execution of the plot. ME2 beats you to death with the suicide mission almost from the get go. ME1 was much more subtle, and you were unraveling a complex mystery with a band brought together for different reasons.

Its why meeting Sovereign for the first time kicked so much harder than ANYTHING ME2 offered.

The only old crew members I'd care enough to take back are Wrex, Garrus and Tali.

I wouldn't mind having Ash and Liara tagging along, but I really don't care.
