I really, really, liked Jacob. Everyone of my Shepard's (from Paragon to pro-Cerberus Renegade) got along famously with him.



I thought he was much more engaging and interesting than Kaiden, and he felt like a real, decent guy who I could count on.



Never used him in battle due to him sucking awful amounts of rectum, but loved him as a character.

No one dislikes Jacob, he just isn't anyone's favorite because he doesn't stand out. He's too agreeable, too nice, which in turn makes him boring. He's there. He never has anything interesting to add, he just says **** and you go, "OK, I can agree with that." There is no personality to hate. In fact, the only thing I dislike about Jacob are the absence of hips, which makes his upper body look freakishly huge. Jacob is the Kaiden/Carth of ME2 without the annoying or whiny backstory.

THIS IS WHY I LIKE HIM... I mean if I was Shep is traight forward honest attitude would put me at ease, especially when the only other initial squaddy, Miranda, wanted a chip in my brain - Jacob is upfront with his problem with Cerberus but they give him whatever he needs to achieve his goals, something the alliance wouldn't do - so I feel Shep and Jacob can have an instant connection, having a fundamental problem with an organization that you can't seem to do without

I agree 100+% In the begining when you meet him  he tells you upfront whats up and whose runing the show.In many ways he could have became a specter himself.

 Jacob is in my top 2 chartacters of all time in mass effect the other being Liara.

I actually liked Kaidan too, he gives you a rundown of every mission and keeps you up to speed with the crew, and also gives helpful advice on missions... I like Jacob even better because he can't quite handle the Alliance as he seems to bristle with authority but finds his place working for Shepard, morally upstanding, yet gets it done - kinda like Garrus in a way



Garrus and Jacob are my boys but my A team in ME 1 was Kaidan and Wrex, and in 2 my A team is Grunt with either Jack or Miranda (Jack for the most part, but Miranda when dealing with Geth)

He's the only one on the crew of the Normandy who built a bridge and got over his daddy issues (and those were some serious daddy issues). Came out on the other side smelling like a rose.



He's alright in my book.

I liked Jacob, I felt he was a good friend to my Shep, sort of like how Kaidan was. I don't often use him on my missions, as there are better sqaud mates, but I like going to talk to him. I think that by partnering with Shep, Jacob will finally get the recognition he deserves from Alliance and whoever else, and he will also finally find his place in life on the Normandy.

I had Jacob as my LI in my second playthrough.

The only thing I didn't like about him was that he'd say things like: "You're teasing something, aren't you?"

What? No. I want to talk to you. Why are you so paranoid?

Getting his shirt off was worth it, though.

Jacob's my dude. One of the few trustworthy characters in the game and I hope he's in ME3. Ashley and Jacob on my squad would be sweet.
