I'll support him more when we actually get loud and spill some drinks of the Citadel! The mission eneded hours ago Jacob, and we arenèt hammered yet!

I dont hate Jacob. As a soldier he is somewhat useless in my squad, but as a character I like him a lot. He is my homie together with Garrus.

My Shepard plays D&D with Garrus Jacob Joker and Zaeed (Miranda sometimes too)
not that many people receive that honor
Jacob is one of my favorite party members character wise and i would use him more if could still use Assault Rifles...he brouight with him on vacation but now he forgot how to use them!?!?

Jacob is my bro. I don't get all the hate thrown at him. Im kinda pissed that we didn't get loud on the Citadel though.

Yeah, it would have been nice reserve Citadels bar which-name-escapes-me-ATM just for our crew, have a lot of dialog and get wasted. So awesome!

I run with Jacob in most of my playthroughs. He's my Bro. And like a true Bro, he let me know it was cool to tag Miranda...Bro's before Ho's.

I never actually used him all that much, but he was fun talking to. I did miss the fact that you couldn't go live with him and spill drinks at the Citadel when it was all over.
Was actually looking forward to that, hoping to see more scenes like the one with Dr. Chakwas. Loved that one, was a hilarious scene imo.

The problem with Jacob is that he never had a crowning moment of awesome/heartwarming. Garrus and Jack are introduced taking out loads of people. Grunt helps take down a Threasher Maw. Mordin's loyalty quest made me really think hard about the genophage (plus he sings, talks about romance, and is generally great). Legion's just cool. Samara's biotics are awesome. Tali's adorable....
....Jacob's a soldier. He stopped a terror attack on the Citadel. He never does anything cool. I think that hurts him as much as anything else. If he had a cool intro, or did something insanely cool during a mission....instead he's not all that impressive in the area of awesome moments.
Personally, however, he's a great guy. He's always my MaleShep's best friend on the ship (along with Joker). I really do like the guy. I like the character concept. I just think if he ever did anything cool he'd be a more popular character.
Especially if he had a cooler intro then just sitting there pinned down by three Loki mechs.

I solved the femShep flirting problem by pressing skip whenever I asked him something
But he was cool, his crowning moment for me was when he and Shep fistbumped when they were all loading into the shuttle-o-doom. Also, we got to get loud and spill some drinks with Chakwas and Parasini, so hey, why not?
He also got a chance to shine in the suicide mission, since my main party was Garrus and Miranda.
He's kinda ME2's Kaidan, but more fun for a femShep that doesn't wanna romance him. Had to practically avoid Kaidan because all he said was romance-related, Jacob's romance was easy to skirt around since he's not the one that comes on to Shep.

Jacob may not be the most complex or edgy of all the sqaudmates, but I think that makes him more endearing, in a way. For my male Shepard, I think he's a good man and who immediately comes across as being the most trustworthy person on the Normandy, in some sense. Jacob just seems to be relatively uncomplicated and morally stable, and he generally comes across as bieng a geniunely good guy.

What do my fellow Jacob fans think of this new forum sensation, unless you have been inactive for the last couple of days you had to have seen "The Priiiize" thread, thoughts?

I actually like Jacob... as a friend. During one part of the romance(which was mostly weird on FemShep's part), he actually asks about you!
Here's a conversation I liked:
FemShep: Two years changes a hell of a lot, you know. I don't blame people for thinkin' I was dead. But it's only been a few weeks for me
Jacob: Rough... You keep runnin' into people who seem like they just, changed.
FemShep: And I'm still the same.
Jacob: I feel sorry for those other people Shepard. Know why they all changed? They lost you.
I thought that was very caring.

It's funny, some have a perchant to overdo it at times.

I admit, Jacob's lines have grown on me, but I avoid the threat because I'm sure I'll facepalm.
