Something that bugged me about ME1 and ME2.
We've got Tali with us. We're probably quite friendly with the quarians. Even if not friendly, we'd not want to pass up an opportunity for allies or payment.
So why do we not have an option of informing Tali or sending a message to the Flotilla about any abandoned or derelict ships we find?
We board some captured freighter, slaughter the pirates onboard... and then just leave.
So there's a perfectly good freighter floating around out there.
The first thing I would do is let Tali know, so she can inform her people that there's a ship floating out there that they can grab. If they're always looking for new ships and parts and all... why the hell aren't we telling them about the limitless resources we seem to be coming across in our travels?
Even if the ships themselves are beyond repair, I'm sure there's useful parts they can salvage.
And when we find pirate bases and clear them out... there's a ton of materials for use there as well.
I think that in ME3, we should have an option for notifying the quarians about such things.
This could help our relationship with Tali. As well as give us a credit reward from the quarians. And possible every X number of ships gets us a special bonus (weapon, upgrade, etc).
Suggestion for ME3... informing the quarians.

The Quarians are basically space gypsies scavenging off the refuse of great civilizations, why would you want to help them by giving them stuff?

Because they are not bloody gypsies. I wouldn't even give gypsies a broken car. But I'd give the Quarians a spaceship, if only because I'm not going to use it myself.AGreatWind wrote...

More importantly though, why can't I salvage that ship and sell it myself? A single spaceship must still be worth a king's ransom.

I am sure their Mechanical prowess can help the Citadel rebuild since the attack.

Because they kick ass.
And I love Tali.
And they seem to be the only race not treating humans like garbage.
I would have given them all my extra gear in ME1 if I could. God knows I didn't need the money or omni-gel.

Oh... and to add the whole Paragon/Renegade thing into the mix... give us a pirate contact as well.
So we can choose to inform the quarians or the pirates. We'd get the same money either way, but a P/R shift as well.
