While playing through my insanity run I ran into this problem during Thane's Loyalty mission.

While following the Turian there is a moment where he and his Krogan bodygaurd will stop to talk to 2 other Krogans.  Now just through the door ahead is a guy you run into for Paragon/Renegade points.  I was wanting to rush through this mission and skipped the dialogue where the Turian speaks to the Krogans, and went straight through the door.

Upon finishing the conversation with the Human the game locks up.  I can still go to dashboard but the game will not continue and you will continue to hear Thane freaking out that the target is getting away.

Now I found out that if you wait for the option to update Thane, allow the dialogue to pass, then go through the door then the game won't freeze after that conversation.


Don't know if anyone has run into this but I figure I put it here just in case.

didn't have this issue in my other playthroughs, but just encountered it in my current one.... it's almost as if I did TOO well in following them (being I'm familiar with it now)..... they definitely need to patch this as well... although not a game-breaking glitch, just annoying to have to go to dashboard to get back into the game


all I can add to this is that I was giving updates very quickly, as soon as it popped up... sometimes quicker than it was asked for by Thane.. also I noticed not all dialogue was happening via voice or subtitles (tried it with subtitles enabled)... and when it did kick in, the subtitles were showing Shepard talking when it should've said "Thane".... yet it was Thane's voice and lines.  Also, the Krogan's acknowledged their orders several times, like a broken record just before going through that door where you can paragon (through dialogue) or renegade your way out of that situation when you encounter the stock-boy.

Maybe skipping some dialogue has something to do with it as well or getting ahead... either way there's a repeatable glitch there, I just got through it playing that part as if I didn't know what was going on LOL... so I'd just run back a bit until Thane would say don't lose them, etc... then go and update him and didn't skip the dialogue when I encountered that guy upstairs.

Hope that helps get it fixed.

found it in my first playtrough ;/



the strange thing was that after i reloaded the save and did again the whole thing, i waited the turian to move, went in the other room and the human didn't even talked to me ..so i didn't had to choose paragon/renegade..i just went in the next room

I did the renegade response on that one myself, but my son did have this exact same issue when he tried the paragon response. He restarted and tried a 2nd time, same thing. He thinks he might have even tried it a 3rd time. He ended up having to go renegade for that interaction in order to continue.
