Oh and that drow chick from "Hordes of the underdark" was completley annoying. Come to think about it Jaheira was only cool if you didn't romance her,as she became a wuss if you romanced her... That leaves Vicona as the only good elven romance, so perhaps i agree with the topic starter???

Half-elf yes.. but she was resembling much more an elf than a human...
BTW... hottest chicks ever are female thieflings.. it's a pity that Bioware never copied them from other companies to put them into its games !!

In any case I'm probably in the tiny minority that hopes for no romance in Awakening. Two reasons for that: Firstly, I won't play it out because unless BioWare kills off Origins' romanceables in questionable fashion, my characters would be faithful. Secondly, I have my doubts a fulfilling romance can be pulled off in expansion length content.

A past interview implied there would be romances between your party members. That's interesting and okay by me, but I don't want a ME2 scenario here.

On the topic of elven females specifically, well... I dislike elves in general. To think it used to be different too...

Indeed, I'd love a tiefling romance (reminds me of Anna from Planescape: Torment) or even better succubus like Fall-from-Grace (admittedly that would be a largely non-physical relationship if she was just like Falls-from-Grace, but it would be a unique romance ) and there are desire demons...

I assume Leliana understood my mistake as I suffered no loss of approval.

That was just sex. We agreed. Later on, when he accused me of being in love with him, I was shocked! And when Leliana accused me of the same, I had no idea what was happening.

All I did was give him some stupid leather gloves!

I stand by my accusation. I guess Cyrena was reaaaal high to miss Leliana's face. Tsk... for shame. If Leliana can accept it though, I suppose I can too.

Ok, that was pretty bad... But it's a very fast thing to go do something wrong with Zev. I did the mistake with my male city elf, who was already romancing both Morrigan and Leliana!

It does if you're committing yourself to Leliana. Leliana is too sweet and special and precious to betray her so!

Now, sleeping with Zevran *before* romancing Leliana or while romancing Alistair is perfectly okay.

So because you want to be faithful, you hope that romances aren't in the game?
How about you just don't go through with the romances. That would show more strength in your characters(and their relationships from Origins).

There are people who don't want to be faithful or who didn't romance anyone in Origins.
It'd be pretty unfair to them if BioWare decided not to add romances just because it would tempt people to cheat on their Origin LIs.
  

Your second argument regarding time is valid, though. 
However, BioWare did say the expansion will be really big.
