Agreed. It seems DA:O was like the first RPG that did not have the cliche' elf-girl love interest, apart from MOTB. It's one of the major reasons I plan on playing a male character for a change. The chance to actually get freaky with a human, or...gasp...a male elf. Now THAT is pretty damned exotic in a fantasy RPG. Elf chicks usually end up being pretty boring.

However, if they include such a thing in Awakenings, I won't care much, because I will have my love interest from DA:O still.

It would be nice to have a warrior or dwarf chick to love up.

If the elf girl they've shown so far is romanceable, that could be a problem for me. My elf is nearly always one conversation away from the "kill all humans" switch. Having a romance with someone who's exactly the same way... well, it certainly should be fun.

I always hated that I can't decide to lead a full elven rebellion against the humans (that would have been an awesome option to have).

I think I can safely say the elf they've shown so far won't romance You, so rest assured of that.
