What? You mean you missed the part where we learned the Chantry sacrifices elf babies and Leliana loves to do so?
So did I.
But rest assured, he found it.

Is it the slave one? What is better, living in moderate comfort while being a slave or absolute poverty when being free?
If your answer is anything other than "absolute poverty while being free" then you have some serious issues.
What an idiotic question.

when the Dales were invaded by the Chantry and the elven people enslaved then you are incredibly naive. And it makes perfect sense then why you like Leliana so much.

Are you role-playing?
A lot of times people say crazy things and it turns out they're role-playing. So you are talking as yourself, the poster, or is this your elven character posting on the BioWare boards?
I ask because in the other thread, you accused someone of being racist against elves.

Posté 13 février 2010 - 03:26
And I never said the other person was racist against elves, just that if she thaought that particular thing that Lelian said was just a tad racist, then she should examine her own beleifs on what is and is not a racist thing to say since what Leliana said was VERY RACIST.

You realize that with that absolute poverty comes almost all the downsides of slavery, while the ones in power just replace you with the 348:th elf in line searching for a job. Not all slavery involves mutilating, near starvation and sadism.
When slavery was abolished (see medieval Europe, of which Thedas is a psuedo-setting), the conditions for the poor got worse, and they still worked like slaves. Thedas is in that transition, so it is a valid opinion. How many people living on the verge of starvation wouldn't choose to be a slave and survive?

Hence we have the city elves and the dalish.
I prefer the Dalish.

No, I'm not role playing. THis entire issue speaks of things that have happened IN THE REAL WORLD. Sad, horrible things that have happened. And if you don't see the correlation, well, then I guess you live in a bubble, and there's nothing I can do about that.
While that’s terribly indignant of you, the problem is that you’re not using any logic to support your case. You’d said Leliana would want to kill elven babies, and then backed it up with a train of thought so tenuous a stiff wind would blow it down. You then suggested that my starting this thread has some connection to liking Leliana’s character.
You’re calling people ‘racist’ and suggesting they ‘live in a bubble’ because they like a character who suggests elves are treated well in Orlais and because she says she believes in the Maker.
Personally, I think Leliana is racist. I also think Alistair, Wynne, Sten, and Oghran are probably rasict as well, but they never think about it or question it.
That Leliana being racist translates into her having no concern for elven lives is stretching it though.

Yes, but Leliana wouldn't meet said dalish, due to not being dalish. She would meet the ones in the cities, hence her opinion.

Eh, I'd call her "painfully ignorant" not "racist". Romance her as an elf.
She’s never been in an alienage, so all she’d know were the few elves that managed to get jobs in the house of nobles. And yes, they might have been better off than the dirt-poor humans she interacted with.
However, Thedas is a world with a large amount of cultural prejudice against the elves. Realistically, all the companions would show some amount of racism, and even Zevran might find it hard to believe that an elf could handle the duty of leading a group against the Blight.
This is a fantasy game though, so race and class prejudices can’t be a major obstacle. Leliana suggesting that elves are like puppy dogs that humans take care of is as much racist as Sten’s ‘woman can’t be warriors’ is sexist.

Different things for different threads. In this one, I'm showing my support for BioWare to continue to not have elven romances.

I wrote this yesterday. I'm not sure what other 'weird' thread you're refering to.
What's up? Having a bad day?
No.
Moreover, I'm not sure how my having a bad day would lead to me supporting BioWare's commitment to no female elven romances. I'd be far more likely to start a thread about how much I disliked Alistair or how I found the Deep Roads to be very long and rather unfun if I were in a poor mood.
Actually, I’d probably post on the ME 2 forums, as there are a number of things I disliked about that game.
