Can we get AI options for ME3?

Not necessarily something like in Dragon Age... though, that would kick ass.

But can we at least get some sort of basic AI behavior options.
Something like Defensive, Aggressive, and Follow?

Aggressive, they play as they do now, blindly running forward into mass crossfire to get gunned down in seconds.
Leaving you a mile behind because they think they can solo everything.

Defensive, where they stay behind cover, and don't move up until the enemies currently attacking them are taken care of. So they'll slowly fight they way up intelligently.

And Follow, where they will stay and shoot from cover, and not move up until you specifically tell them to.

Because right now... I'm getting sick and tired of my idiot squad charging forward without cover when there's 5-6 enemies shooting at them.

I'm playing a mission now... against Geth.
We're all hiding behind some cover... a couple of meters ahead, are a group of Geth hiding behind their own cover.

Instead of taking shots when it's safe, Miranda leaps over our cover into the crossfire and it shot down in about 2 seconds.
Why? Why the hell would they stupidly run forward when there's enemies RIGHT THERE!?

PLEASE BIOWARE. PLEASE FIX THE AI.

It's gotten to the point where I just leave them dead instead of wasting my time with Unity... as they'll just die a few seconds after being rezzed anyway.

Are you directing them to stay behind objects or letting them run free on their own?

I keep telling them to get behind cover.

Which they do... for a few seconds.

Then they decide they should run out in the open again.

Why can't they just stay where I tell them to go until I give them a new order?

More AI options would be nice. Maybe we should make a mobile platform for EDI so she can come with us on missions?

On a serious note, AI is something that's very difficult to get right. It's much better in ME2 than it was in ME1 (squadmates don't shoot at walls as much!) but I doubt they'll have *all* the kinks worked out even by ME3.

While I think AI options would be great, I have to respond to this....

"Aggressive, they play as they do now, blindly running forward into mass crossfire to get gunned down in seconds. Leaving you a mile behind because they think they can solo everything."

I'm playing on veteran (so maybe I need to go higher), but I feel the AI is too smart. They're always killing off the enemies I'm going after and I find it a bit annoying. I've even walked away from some battles to open caches and they finish off the enemies easily.

I don't mind my squad killing things for me. That's the point. They're supposed to be helping.

But I do still see lots of instances where they fire at walls and such though.

There's enemies in the next room, and my squad is sat there shooting at a wall.

Either improve the squad AI or at least make your squadmates scale like the enemies do based on difficulty. Its ridiculous how squishy they are under fire.

Grunt is awesome on insanity against husks if you warp their armor away he just turns them to slush when he rams into them. Super cool.

The AI+cover system is complete fail. I'm having the opposite problem with cover... my squaddies go out of their way to find cover. They'll be right behind me, and we run into a group of husks, then they both backtrack down the hallway and around a corner to get behind a box. I get left high and dry to fend for myself and it doesn't usually go well against a group of husks.

I find that there is too much emphasis on cover, that in wide-open areas the squaddies become useless because they, in effect, RUN AND HIDE. Unacceptable.
