How do I change character any character model say shepard with tali's in ME2. I have done this for ME1.

I want to be Tali like in this example. LOL Is that a mod or a render change? So I want to try this if somebody will explain to me how it was done code wise. What do I need etc.

Update, I have done this for ME1. I haven't figured out how to do this for ME2 yet in the ini file.
 People are doing this (Watch the youtube video). Simple you copy some code from say Tali's character model in the ini file (I haven't figured you 100% where that is yet) and you replace shepards model with whoever you want say Tali's model and you can play her in ME2 as your character.

Again if anybody knows what exactly you need to change for this to work please let me know. Thanks.

I forget which one it is, so just add all of these to: [SFXGame.SFXPawn_Player] under BioGame. The suit is a little bugged though, there's a see through hole in Shepard's chest -_-'  but there is a few others there and one of the Consort's 'greeters' outfit for FemShep.

Are all the changes done in the ini file? I just want to figure out how to use tali's model for my female shepard.

Yo just tried all of that, and they are just extra Casual appearances, there is no Tali.



I think the process would be the same you'd just need to add a Tali model for the Armor customization.

If I knew the default player skins names I could replace it in the ini with Tali's. I just have to read through the code and the file names to figure out what goes with what and then just replace them and it will work the same as above only you can play anybody through the whole game like that. LOL Its awesome.

What ini file are you useing defaultengine or Coalesced or something else?
 ME1 is far more easy to figure out then ME2 is it seems unless I'm looking at the wrong ini files.

Pretty sure everything you can edit is inside that Coalesced file.

That is where its at. I looked through the whole thing. I'm not a programer but its got to be one of 2 things. The guy on youtube who made the video used Tali's meshes or he used something like this.

To replace the shepard model with another characters model. This looks similar to what I used to change the tali model around to my shepard in ME1. But theres abit more to it then that. If you change these the game cashes. There is something I missed that you'd have to replace. I had to replace  2 things in the ME1 ini to do it. I am not sure yet about how this guy did it yet for ME2.

Sorry to post here not helping out with the Quarian Player model stuff.... but is it Possible to use any skin for change in ME2? Say what i would love is to play as a Geth unit <3 :) Not Sure if its possible, tell if it is?

i think i figured it out on how to change Shepard into Tali'Zorah i will give it a test before i confirm it though....
Here's what i did though:
Opened Coalesced with Notepad++

i searched for player until it came up with one at 4555

 

Doing what was done on Mass Effect 1 didn't work but if someone can figure it out that would be nice
