Now that I think of it, what's the major differences between the PS3 & the Xbox360? I gotta PS2 atm, but not an Xbox, so I have to admit I don't know a fat lot about the Xbox series of console. I would never be able to afford to get both a Xbox360 & a PS3 & hold both in my room at once, so I would have to choose between the 2 for next Christmas.
Software, however, is the real major difference. Here are lists of games for both systems -
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Xbox_360_gamesen.wikipedia.org/wiki/PS3_exclusivesWhen comparing the lists, I would only compare the exclusive columns maked with Yes (Green Box). Since you seem to play PC, console exclusive does not appy to you. For your unique scenario, PS3 is a better fit since based on this thread you like the Final Fantasy series and play games on PC. However, I will point out that
Hironobu Sakaguchi's (the creator of the
popular
Final Fantasy series) Mistwalker only has RPGs (between PS3 and x360) for the 360 -- Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey. Also these lists some games that were released on both systems outside the US (i.e. Tales of Vesperia).
Additionally PS3 currently has exclusive rights to Final Fantasy Versus XIII, an action-rpg set in the same universe as Final Fantasy XIII. It is supposed to be the darkest Final Fantasy yet, so if you liked Dragon Age, that game in the FFXIII universe may even be more of a fit for you (release date pending though).

*edit*
Misspoke earlier when saying Mistwalker only had RPG's on the Xbox 360. Spring 2010, it is expected Mistwalker will announce an RPG for the Nintendo Wii -- The Last Story

Then again,
it is the Wii.
