OK, I will admit to one specific type of cheating metagaming... knowing of impending doom of my temporary companions (newbie wardens, guard / mage in Ostagar Tower, etc.), I will usually strip all their armor and weapons, leaving them naked and defenseless to meet their doom, while I get some mediocre loot to sell. No crisis of conscience since they can't be saved from their scripted fate with or without gear... so why not go for it?

Having done that, I then amuse myself trying to come up with a dialogue to convince them to hand over all of their stuff...

• Dude, check out this new stealth technique! - Wait, I can still see you... try taking off all your clothes, like "Terminator"...
• I really want to sex you up - go ahead and get naked and we'll do it right after this battle!
• Yeah, so anyway... Duncan says that traditionally the joining has to be done naked. Here, let me hold your stuff for you.
• Shirts vs Skins!!! Alistair and I call 'Shirts'!

Etc... Anyone else have convincing words for them?

There's no reason to strip them. You get their stuff when they go away anyway.

Edit: and had I read the rest of your post before answering, I would have realized that wasn't your point. My apologies. I think I may use a nude patch and do that.  Fun times ahead.

I would probably go with the "you have to do it naked" conversation- and then when they ask why my PC wasn't:



"But I am naked. Are you ok? Maybe you're just nervous. It's probably some illusion so we all don't feel so uncomfortable looking at our grotesquely exaggerated body parts. Hey look a bird!"

I kind of liked Daveth, was a little sad to see him die, but was totally okay with the whiner Jory getting offed.

My first PC was an Elf Mage and Daveth's whining about being turned into a toad and/or put in a pot really got on my nerves. Since that was my initial impression of him, it's carried over to subsequent playthroughs.

He is generally much more courageous than Jory though, I'll give him that.

I'm sure there's a Daveth and Jory double-act going on in the Fade someone, these two have (or should I said had :-)) great comic potential as a double act :-)

On a side note, stripping these two can have unexpected consequences if you have certain body mods installed (gets disconcerting enough seeing how 'pleased' that prisoner in the cage is to see my Wardens now when they talk to him, so I tend to leave him alone now, or my male Wardens themselves waking up in Drakon Fort's prison, not to even mention Calian's body in RtO) :-)

The Natural Bodies mod has some additional files you can download and swap out so the boys aren't so perky all the time.

If you're also using something like the Better Sex mod though, that might be distracting for other reasons.

There are more redshirts, though, like in the Tower of Ishal, where you do need to strip them before the cutscene if you want to get some extra stuff to pawn in Lothering.

I believe they are whom the OP had more in mind.

Dalish elf wise, the mage that helps you out looking in the cave has some pretty decent mage robes and staff. and its a she....so....bonus.

Like I tell all the people who say the game is too easy, just do a naked playthrough.Only boots, gloves and weapons allowed.



It might not be fun, but the automated screenshots are going to be epic.
