How is she being ‘THAT much of a liar’?
She’s an entertainer. Making up stories is something she’s done for years. And if you’re speaking with her, you’re her audience.
In fact, she’s obliged to entertain you. She has professional ethics. Imagine someone having a conversation with a bard and getting bored. Her reputation would be ruined!
That does not necessarily mean that she has to make stuff up. For all we know, ALL of the stories she told us might be true. And we do not simply have a conversation with a bard, we converse with a friend (or a lover) who happens to be a bard.
Just my 2 cents.

Well.... Maybe if she has to lie to make an amusing story she isn't a very good bard! x]
Just saying....

Trusting people in this kind of setting is risky business, so you should never let yourself get complacent.

Always a possibility, but it just seems too many people think that way here. I try to be more optimistic for a change. If one day Leliana will INDEED stab me in the back, "Woohoo!" for you then. I'll be remembering all this while slowly bleeding to death.

You: Hmm, I'm in an ancient temple and there is a pretty shaft of light coming from the wall to my left. I'm fairly sure I saw something exactly like this in a movie somewhere that leads me to believe that touching the light is a bad idea.
But on the other hand, it's soooo pretty.

and i still hold my position , yes , she tells you a lot of things , and these things are just what she said, she could be lying or telling the truth , who knows , who can trust in a bard !?
not the all bards use theyr skills to some "dirty jobs" but in a time of a blight , things going to a mess , it´s normal , it´s wise , not to trust bards.
it´s the same as the future president telling you to vote him and why do so

It's true! I still remember the cries of pain when she waded into the Cullen fangirls.
And all those stories Leliana tells?
"Here's a happy tale about the first female knight. She gets her throat slit!"
"Here's a story about a man and woman who love one another. They both die! It's been hundreds of years and their souls are still desperately trying to touch one another again.. and failing!"
"Here's a story about the Maker's Bride. Her husband betrays her and she ends up roasting like a suckling pig until someone stabs her in the heart. Whenever I'm feeling down, I like to think of this and my faith is renewed."![]()
I honestly wanted to ask her if she knew *any* happy stories. She’d probably look confused and tell me those were the happy stories. Her others are much more depressing.
What you actual wrote is nothing special, but somehow the smileys made for an epic win complement, weird

-She has no reason to (Go ahead and try to think of one, well she does on my Cousland cuz I dumped her for Alistair to be Queen but I would personally find it hilarious if she killed me for it)
-Marjoline is dead/gone and she was Leliana's major(if not only) connection to the bard life.
-I'm a damn good lover/friend. Besides if Leliana was really trying to trick/seduce the warden what would she need such a high *enter my tent* approval for.
And as for the whole Gaurdian of the Ashes thing, the questions and accusations are a test. So the gaurdian is probably lying as well. Leliana probably did like the attention the "vision" gave her but I doubt she made it up just to get extra attention like the Gaurdian suggested, cause there are plenty of other ways to do that... liking taking a bite out of forbidden fruit *snicker*
Meh the only way I can be content if Leliana left me was if she went off to start some new branch of the chantry that believed that the Maker still watched over everyone; parelling the many branches of Christianity. I would never let Leliana do the joining, so that whole trying to become a grey warden is bs to me.

She went through hell with my wardens.Skull fracture's,arms mangled, eye's gouged et all.I think the poor girl too 60+ wounds in the main playthrough and she still kept coming to me in my tent.Yes,yer past may be checkered, but the girl takes a lot of hits and stays around.Out of everyone in the roster she has the most wounds taken by at least 50.I'm pretty willing to give her a free pass due to all those scars she took for me.
Oh...and I did do the Elven Leiliana (default) mod.I think it makes her look sooooo much better.
All of my companions had several injuries and they all stuck with me. They still do on my second and third playthrough.
