I can try to help you out:

Are you on a Steam version of DA:O?

What OS are you using?

Are you patched to version 1.01?

As I stated in another thread, i'm getting exactly the same thing.

The moment it tries to execute the .exe file after configuring all the firewall settings, it locks up. Posted Image

Bloody annoying as the toolset's the reason I bought the PC version instead of the Xbox. Posted Image

I will admit though, other than the crap UK collectors edition, the ramped up difficulty levels and now this.  The game is fantastic and i'm loveing every second of it.  ( I'm just trying to figure out now wether Morrigan is up for it with my female mage.

UK disk version

Win XP with service pack 3

How do I tell, I can't find a version number and didn't even know there was a patch.

Hmm, I actually have no idea, i was hoping you guys would be working on SP2 because that seems to be a huge problem when working with the Toolset right now, SQL is a odd thing to work with...

And yeah there was a patch up to 1.01, but I don't know if its even required to install the Toolset.

Yeah, I got the same message requesting my install log. At least they are looking at the issue.

Any idea how you tell what version of the game you are playing?  I haven't seen anything on the main screen that indicates what version you are running.
