People don't really want a space elf, they just want Tali to be attractive.

Yea, they're wrong. I agree that I don't want quarians to be space elves. Fortunately, I don't need to hope because they won't even have ears.

The Tali freaks got Tali added as a romance option, don't be so sure they can't pressure the devs on the appearance of quarians without their helmets.

Personally, I'm not for or against the space elf look, but, seriously, if Tali DOES look like a beautiful space elf... how on EARTH is that a bad thing?

I expect them to be reptilian or possibly avian as they seem to have a number of biological similarities with Turians (who look like reptiles to me).

never thought shed look like an elf i pictured her as looking human but with better features like how greeks veiwed gods. i still prefer miranda though cuz tali's three fingers creeps me out

90% of art is an exaggeration...most Tali is art doesn't even have her out of her suit at all. Most of the tali fanbase is "sane" :l

Because elves do not belong in space.  Just look at Warhammer 40 K.  Any attempts to make that universe semiserious (which they have actually tried to do) is laughable because of the space orcs and space elves.

@Collider: That's a serious estimate.  I've only seen one tali fan art that doesn't put her as a space elf.

I'm a big Tali fan, and i hope to God that they don't make Quarians look like any sort of elves. that would just be so boring and uncreative. They did such a great job with so many of the other races, i want something genuinely new and interesting for Quarians, even if it isnt classically "attractive."

I also have a question.... what does a Space Elf look like? Is it just the ears, or are there other features? 'Cause if Tali is fey and pretty looking, yet she's got purple skin, three fingers, and chicken feet, does she still "look like a space elf"?

They're not reptilian. They look like raptors but with chitin-looking metallic skin plating.

Just because Quarians and Turians have some similarities in body structure doesn't mean they should look at all alike - they evolved on seperate planets, so any similarities between them are purely coincidental.

Which is what most of the fan art puts her as.
