Nah, no space elf Tali. I mean it's a nice enough fanart, but I don't buy it as how Tali would look.
Well fine then, good sir. Considering the name "Quarian" she is really a slimmer, more shapely version of Shale from Dragon Age.

Hey, Shale was quite a "babe" in Dragon Age, but her golem form lacked the...requisite functions to express your characters appreciation for her. Tali has no such issues and since she is clearly not as "squishy" as other races, it makes sense she is really an advanced form of the dwarven Golem...
..in space...

No wait, seeing as ME is a violent game, unlikely to attract twilight freaks, though likely to attract WoW geeks, forget I said that.
Of course, they could just aim to please the worst of both the annoying fan-bases and make them space vampires with pointed ears.

its bioware, i think you shoudl ahve more faith in them. up until now they havent screwed things over so im pretty sure such a thing like this will be handeld with care.

I think the Quarians will more or less look like the face placeholder for Tali. Obviously more refined though.

Space vampires would be just as bad as space elves, in fact, it would be worse. The vampire genre died a terrible, permanent death the moment a certain pubescent girl typed out the title for a book: Twilight.

Just think of the facts though...
Quarians don't go out in open sunlight...Tali has a vague Eastern European accent...they like to "pounce" upon their prey, whether for pleasure or perhaps other ends?
Imagine the scene in ME 3...Tali is dying as her immune system fails her. Her only option is that her love, Shepard, bares his neck and shares his blood so that she may live!!!

Sickening. Literal space vampires would be even worse than night elves in space!

So bottom line they wont look anywhere near night elves or elves at all in general, since they don't even have visible ears and probably no hair, that seems to be the theme in Mass Effect.

So if quarians do in fact end up looking like space elves, it's not because they are catering to their fans, but because that's the way Bioware wanted it.

If that head had hair it would look pretty good imo. Humans look almost as that, without our hair.jkruse05 wrote...
More than likely one of these is a base for Tali/quarians http://www.creativeu...-concepts1.html , and though I know many of you won't like it, I have a feeling it'll be close to the one in the second row, second from the right.

I know, it's Kerrigan, but hey, it'd kinda fit, minus hair....things and wings of course.

My favourite interpretation of her appearance so far. Although it is hard picturing her voice fitting the appearance.
Sadly they won't look like that as it is mentioned in the codex and in Ascension that they don't have ears like humans do it says something like "What passes for the Quarian equivilant of a human ear", I can't imagine that'd simply refer to shape.

THREAD.
RESURRECTION.
FTL. (not faster than light travel)
Anyway my opinion is obvious: if Quarians turn out to be purple space elves ME3 is going out the window.
