Asari already fill the category of space elves.
I guess they already fill the archtypical "cultured, imortal, sophisticated" role.

Kind of reminds me of the Kaminoans.

While i don't like the idea of space elves, thier legs already disqualify them from being rip off space elves.
Honestly, because of that feature, I always think Dranei, from Warcraft.
Glowing eyes, human face, reverse knees, generally pale blue.

SharpEdge, about your signature. I do the same thing, but it's a shame the game penalizes you for having too much paragon or renegade points.
Don't you mean too little? Honestly, unless your character is a schitzofrenic, as literally tries to split 50/50 you should have enogh Para/Gade to handle most situtation, exept for the super extreme like beating Morinth's hold on you, which doesn't get you anything anyway.
And if you mean scarring, there's an app for that.
But this is not the thread to discuss this.

This would explain why i don't like the Asari.SnakeStrike8 wrote...
Aren't the Asari considered Mass Effect's space elves? I mean, long lived, culturally and technologically superior to everyone else, very diplomatic, insane magic powers (biotics, I mean) and unbelievably arrogant?
Yeah, that sounds elven to me.

No, the developers confirmed that if you, for example, have too much renegade points, you cannot do a charm even with 100% paragon. Which is a shame, because it inhibits roleplaying.

I think a lot of people do, but it doesn't necessarily make sense.Marilynn-22 wrote...

Humans have melanin to protect them from UV rays, but it also inhibits vitamin D production. That is the reason that people who get less sun lose melanin, and why cultures from sun-laden areas have darker skin overall: low sun + high melanin = vitamin D deficiency. But if melanin didn't block production of necessary vitamins, there would be no evolutionary pressure to lose it in low-sunlight environments and you'd see dark-skinned people in the northern areas of the globe as well.
With aliens, there is no reason necessarily that their skin should be pigmented with melanin, nor that they require vitamin D at all. The use of melanin has to do with a lot of variables -- not just phisiological requirements but the ability of our atmosphere to block UV, and the emission spectrum of our host star.

Fan unity will make Bioware give everyone what they want.
Fans whining and making angry threads about each other will just lead Bioware to believe that we don't KNOW what we want, and they'll just crap that they think we MIGHT like.
Oh lawld.

I must admit that I do like this image of her. The purple is cool and I am feeling the scales too.
