Really people, BioWare already knows what the Quarians look like, especially in Tali's case. No amount of fanart is going to convince them to change the Quarian's looks, for better or worse.

You really expect bioware to create a species without knowing what they look like? That makes no sense at all, I don't know what all you guys are worried about.

I do expect that. There was no reason for them to decide what they looked like, because what they actually looked like was the suit. The suit was their character design. I doubt the features of the Quarian race were fleshed out more than "two eyes and a nose" when Tali was first designed.

Since then Bioware might have decided what they look like. Then again, they might have decided to never show us, and that no design is therefore needed.

If you read the books you get a much more detailed description than "two eyes and a nose" and obviously the writer of the books had to collaborate with bioware to make sure everything was accurate.

I know that we've been told they have pretty human-like features including teeth, tear ducts, etc. That still leaves a lot of wiggle room. If Bioware do indeed know what quarians look like, I expect they decided while developing ME2, not ME1.

There's reasonable evidence that ME2 and ME3 were somewhat designed as one continuous story in the vein of many 2nd and 3rd parts of trilogies. I wouldn't be surprised if some of ME3's concept art was done at the same time as that of ME2.

Regardless, bioware is not going to make quarians look like a character from another game,  they have created a totally unique universe. Listening to fans in terms of gameplay, and listening to fans tell them what they think a character should look like are totally different situations.

Games Workshop has a longer list to sue from before they ever get to BioWare's doorstep.

I noticed that in ME2 Tali's visor is significantly more opaque than it was in ME1. I took this to mean that Bioware wanted even less of her face to show in order for the placeholder to mesh better with the final design as is to be revealed in ME3. At least, that's what I hope.

Heh. That's not a bad thing.Image IPB
I'm still curious as to whether they'll actually show what they look like. ME2 seemed like the perfect time to do that.

If space elf means "human looking, with attractive features" then yep, Tali is going to be a space elf. If space elf means pointy ears, then no, I hope she's not a space elf. She's going to have fairly human features, but that's it. Quarians might, or might not, have hair, but it's kind of a moot point because Tali's going to have short or shaved hair even if she has hair because she's in a suit. She's not going to be Rapunzel in there.

You know, some people talk about how her attractiveness would affected by her being in a suit all her life, but maybe quarians don't have to worry about some of the same stuff that humans have to worry about? Quarians might not sweat, they could have developed other means to getting rid of heat rather then evaporating water, so that might help them with being in their suits.

More than likely one of these is a base for Tali/quarians http://www.creativeu...-concepts1.html , and though I know many of you won't like it, I have a feeling it'll be close to the one in the second row, second from the right.

That was my guess, too.  I'm okay with this, I think.

Those are actually early asari concepts.

That said, I'd be happy with Tali looking like the smoking lady. She is cute.

OP, GW didn't sue Blizzard who ripped off every single thing from WH40k and they're going to sue Bioware over this? Are you stupid?

I liked that one, too. The features are kind of coarse and sensual, rather than delicate. But I don't think quarians can smoke.

If you talk to Grunt he specifically says that humans, asari, and salarians are 'soft'-- and that Quarians are not so much.

So she's not soft. Whatever that means.

That because they're wearing hard suits over their soft bodies. Remember he was talking about kill them.
