If Quarians turn out to be space elves...

But yeah, I think people are reading to much into that.

I still say tentacles similar to the Khil or for those so disinclined, like this:
Yeah everyone let's not rule out the tentacles. lol seriously no joke.
Quarians have an endoskeleton, lips, teeth, and two eyes with eyelids and tear ducts (Ascension, p. 235). Females have mammary glands. Quarians may have evolved along similar lines as Earth's higher primates, much as Australia's koalas developed like Africa's leaf-eating prosimians: a phenomenon called convergent evolution.
It's been ruled out.

I'd imagine they probably look like the Geth since all their other features are identical to the Geth. They probably are very smooth, curvy, and taut with plate-like material, but smoother and visually nicer than Turians, but with some visible "muscle" under the plates like on the Geth. Grunt's description makes them sound like an in-between of "soft" asari, etc. and Turians, he says quarians smoothness "not so much."
I kind of figured the opposite: the quarians went through a lot to assure themselves that their creations were not alive. Why make something that looks like you to treat as a slave?
I'm actually more curious about the glowing/reflective eyes. I'm not sure what kind of evolutionary advantage glowing eyes are (lure? mating signal?) and reflective eyes suggest them being nocturnal or coming from a shadier planet.
The quarian homeworld was supposed to be more arid than Earth?

People don't really want a space elf, they just want Tali to be attractive.

The Quarian homeworld didn't have insect life, so plants and larger lifeforms developed a symbiotic relationship. This is also why quarians don't have great immune systems. Don't know how that would effect their appearance, though.
Probably it wouldn't. Morphology has quite a lot of factors, but I doubt immune system is a significant one.

I kind of see them as vaguely lizardlike--with human featured, but perhaps with pebbled or slightly scaled skin. I'd be okay with that. But I'm okay with... a lot of things, so yeah. I wouldn't mind if Bioware never revealed them. It would be the best way to make most people happy. Besides, I LIKE their enviro-suits.
...but not as much as their chicken legs.

I'm pretty sure that asari pretty much fit the definition of Space Elves. Beautiful, long-lived, innately magical (or biotic...al, in this case). I hope quarians don't look like freaking space elves. That would be disappointing.

The Drell have already got the reptiles covered.
What we haven't had so far is a fey-looking race. Maybe the quarians fit the bill?

I'd be okay with that. It doesn't scream "hawt!", but I can certainly see how that could be very appealing with the right facial features. I like that it is sufficiently alien that they aren't just re-colored humans, but sufficiently human that they can still be attractive.jkruse05 wrote...
More than likely one of these is a base for Tali/quarians http://www.creativeu...-concepts1.html , and though I know many of you won't like it, I have a feeling it'll be close to the one in the second row, second from the right.
I think someone said that those were early Asari sketches. That may be true, but you're right.. it does have the right features, like the elongated neck and the lack of ear lobes. If you look inside Tali's helmet, though, she seems to have a more pronounced nasal bridge and sellion than that. Of course these are just concept drawings...
Anyway... fun to think about

Hmm, true, but we do have more than one mammalian race, even if they don't necessarily look alike. But I could see why Bioware wouldn't want two obviously reptilian races.
Well, at least the quarians still have their chicken legs.

Yes, these are early asari sketches. I have the first ME artbook, and these are in it.

Quarians are primate mammalians according to sources ive seen. They may superficially resemble humans but they are clearly alien.
So she's a hairy monkey?

I think they look human in a sense, having eyes, a nose and a mouth, but in every other sense they are alien... maybe they resemble the drell?
But yeah, if they turn out to be space elves.... D:<

- No glowing eyes
- No pointed ears
That's all they have to adhere to to avoid Space Elf Syndrome.
I imagine their skin as a dark gray, which allows their contrasting silvery eyes to show through their helmet, without having to glow. They may not even have ears.
No piercing or tattooes, because they never take their suits off and that's just asking for an infection. Their hoods and shawls indicate hair, so that's likely. They're too slender in appearance to be significantly armored with scales or a thicker hide. Being an alien species, their skin could simply be made of different material than skins that evolved on Earth and thus wouldn't neev to be thick or scaly to be tougher than ours.

it's already made clear they don't have ears " least not what you could consider ears, Im thinking at the MOST they would be flap like seals...but most realistically they are chambers like we see in reptiles, and birds. even though they are primate-like
The concepts of tali I did, I only used the violetish skin( which is actually violet/grey/tan blotchy ) was thinking of morlocks fom time machine, and such.
I've never once touched wow, never will.. elves to me come in skin tone, or black/bluish grey, or copperish depending on if your looking historical lore, or more D&D/tolkenish so I personally don't put those together.

OP, GW didn't sue Blizzard who ripped off every single thing from WH40k and they're going to sue Bioware over this? Are you stupid?
Do you lack a sense of humor? (that's a yes already.)
